Fair price to vinyl wrap front grill? UPDATED with PICS.

So I'm looking to either wrap my front grill in gloss black, but most likely carbon fiber.....what's a fair price? I was told $200 out the door for Carbon Fiber 3M which I'm leaning towards OR $150 for gloss black, by a local reputable shop.....Does that seem like a fair price? I think it is, just wanted to see if any other's have went that route, but I think most who have wrapped their grill have DIY, but I don't have the patience to get it perfect like they can LOL, thanks in advance....

mmm i actually got quoted to wrap my trim pieces for about $220, so i think that may be a fair-ish price, especially if you intend on keeping that wrap on for a while. last time i checked, wrap wasnt cheap either!

There's a TON of crevices so yeah, I'd say that's a fair price. I'd be surprised if even a very good wrapper gets it done without any creasing or obvious cuts.

The shop that did my tint (who also do vehicle wraps) refused to wrap it and suggested I paint it

Vinyl wrap is fairly cheap. You only need about $20-30 worth of material to wrap the grille. Patience, skill, and attention to detail are a whole different subject

haha yeah, this is one of those pay for labor/skill jobs, def not so much the parts... Kinda like headlight work, painting the housing is cake but baking the headlights and keeping track of all the little pieces

That was my initial plan. But I took it in person to THREE different paint and auto body shops and they all told me the exact same thing. Nope won't bother painting it because even if they prepped it and sounded it down the chrome finish it still wouldn't stick well....made me scratch my head honestly. One would think if you got the chrome crap off the paint would adhere to the plastic....I dunno maybe they just didn't wanna deal with it, but three places? Weird, I didn't even say I wasn't opposed to a certain top dollar price..

Anyways, I just got it back today, got it wrapped in Carbon Fiber. Looks great, he did a great job...Turns out he knew my brother somehow and he gave me $30 off, so paid $170 out the door.

Sweet, post pics.
But it took me a couple shops before I found one willing to do it. The same agreed to do my engine bay plastics when others refused. It'll be a year next month since my grill has been painted and it's holding up fine

Here's a few....car is dirty, since it's off and on rain today. But yeah I'm definitely satisfied with the end result.

Thanks guys, yeah he did good work on it, I think it was a good decision. Now to trick out my headlights with some halos, led strip, blackout housings etc when I get some extra $$$, stock headlights are bothering me lol, changed out the bulbs to led love the color just stock headlights look blah to me.
