@2.2Lude Thank you for sharing that! The last time I looked into steering wheel control relocations was a couple years ago when I was just browsing, I hadn’t seen that yet. Definitely looks clean enough with the CF behind the wheel to go with my Nardi 330mm.

@fallenblade Appreciate the feedback and really good to know especially about retaining the horn. I’m 6’4” so I might get away without needing even the shorty hub (unless it’s absolutely needed to work with the rapfix 2?) but I also like to be close to the wheel in a proper position.

You're welcome man. They're so cheap I'm temped to grab a few and stash them for possible future use/resell.

Seems like a solid plan to me…I was really happy to see it when you shared it, and was expecting it to be a little pricier than it was ($51 shipped on sale) and also saw their banner about their 2022 price increase. Already have mine on the way! Will be sure to post pictures of my setup when I get the rapfix & hub ordered and everything installed.

No problem! Glad to help. Yeah, you lucky b*stard, you should be fine with the regular hub. (You do need a hub in general for it to work.)

Small mod this post, but installed my Cusco front tow hook. Fits like a glove with the 11’-13’ sport bumper fascia.

I can’t say if this fits the IPL front bumper since it barely clears the 11-13’ sport fascia but I’m guessing it will fit the pre-2011 OEM sport front bumpers also. The part number is (Cusco) 252 017 F for anyone else hunting for a quality front hook.

Update, I swapped to an OEM IPL front bumper and can confirm this tow hook fits the IPL bumper also. When screwing it in, get the base attached first then screw in the red hook- the red hook will bump slightly against the bumper but if you give the bumper some upward pressure in that location (where the tow hook cover was) it barely rubs at the top when rotating it, and can be adjusted & tightened afterwards.

Changed out my front and rear diff fluids today, next is trans and transfer case, then spark plugs. Buying a used car with no service records, figure I'd knock out some maintenance items before modding at all

Finally got an EcuTek tune a few days ago by Seb at SpeialtyZ. Went with an OTS tune until I’m boosted and it’s been flawless, night and day different car after flashing the ECU. Installed the ConceptZ Performance Setrab 13 row power steering cooler today, and an alumalite front splitter for my 13’ sport bumper (Aeroblitz). It’s beyond dirty from the roads and weather here so I didn’t get any pics of the splitter yet but will soon once I wash the G. Doesn’t look bad, but not as clean as I was hoping, so I’ll be ordering the painted OEM IPL front bumper soon. Also threw on the Takeda splash shield as a safeguard, just until I get an A2A supercharger on it later. RHFCs and sport accessory muffler are next…might have a sport accessory muffler for sale soon if I’m not a fan of how it turns out with the HKS mid and H pipe.

For the PS cooler I used two Earl’s 5/8” hose separators with the CZP power steering hoses, which came in handy to prevent the hoses from rubbing on the OEM spring clamps- hope that helps others.

That's a whole lot of plans. Could take years, or in your case, year. Should be fun.

🥲🥲🥲

I got the car off a friend who crashed it lol.
I decided to take it up as a project. Paid $1,500 so far spent a good amount on bringing it back from the graveyard lol.
so far I put a bumper, light, air filters, complete fluid & oil swaps. Now here’s the thing I got a wrong transmission from an auto parts dealer. The Tards gave me a 2013 seven speed. Mine is a 2008 five speed & I was wondering if I can just switch the computer? Maybe that would be easier than a tranny swap again. 🥲
the reason I swapped the tranny was because it would lock up randomly on freeway, I was like to heck with it swap!!! Without even checking anything. Now the tranny I swapped does the same thing. I disconnected the battery and it reset whatever sensor is going faulty. What do you think it can be?

also when I got the car from my friend, None of the gauges worked. The speedometer, rpm, battery and thermostat gauges are out. As well as the ac control module. Any help with that? I know In the 350z’s the ac module controls the dash as well. Maybe it’s the same?
Any help would be appreciated im trying to bring this car back to life. It was my high school dream car & now I finally have it.

I ordered a Revel Medallion Touring Axle Back Exhaust. My first mod. Also made an appointment to flush the transmission fluid and differentials, and brakes. 45000 miles, so want to get everything changed so I’m good for a while.
