All controls work except the two MENU buttons (those are for the 2018 gauge cluster (another work in progress)) and the (2008) SOURCE button is now the (2018) BACK button. Doesn't affect me as I never use the NAV anyway. 100% plug-and-play.
The trim behind the steering wheel rubs against the column trim piece (where the slappy paddles are). The paddles hit the back of the steering wheel but work just the same (I don't use them, either).
I will, at some point, swap to the steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters and hook up the heated steering relay to get that to work. Again, I do not use the paddles so who knows. The ESM says it can be done, so, maybe...
For $200 and less then 30 minutes labor, it was worth the gamble.

Guess I never gave it any thought because iv only owned standard ones. Wish there was a revised standard center console tho
