Aftermarkets filters has arrows pointing up to tell you that the filter must be placed this side up.

OEM filters goes by air flow.

Yeah, it's confusing as hell.

Good morning guys.

So I just double check with WIX (Part #24479) and they indicated that their arrow is pointing in the direction of air flow (although it doesn't say that on the filter itself.

Also, as others have already pointed out, two different kinds of filters were made by OEM and aftermarket filter manufactures. Make sure to check with your cabin air filter manufacture for the specifics.

I also confirmed that that the airflow goes downward (tested with a paper towel to see which direction it was pulling when the air blower was on).
