Should I buy this G37s?

Hey guys, new to this forum, so please excuse me If I'm messing up with the thread posting. Anyway, I really want a g37s, I used to own a 6MT G35, and loved it. Now i'm sitting back in a Honda Civic awaiting my future G37s.
Anyway, a used car dealership in my area is selling a 2008 G37S Automatic, with 120K miles. Mileage is kinda high, and there are some signs of wear, however I test drove it and as expected, loved it. No issues I could identify. Only thing, was when I let it idle all the way out to the quiet tone, then rev the engine with a quick gas pedal tap (I do this to hear the intake of cars) it made a quick kind of Crank noise. Don't know if that's anything major or not. I'm going to have a mechanic come to look at it with me tomorrow to see.

Some more info, price is $12,900. And I'm going to be financing and buying the 5 year warranty that covers all engine/transmission problems. Please need some thoughts, opinions, and advice. I'm really looking forward to owning a G37s and want to make sure I get a good one. Thanks guys!

Forget just some mechanic.
How did this used car dealer acquire this vehicle?

Have the vehicle thoroughly inspected by an authorized Infiniti dealer and have them run the VIN number.
Was this vehicle ever involved in an accident, flood, brought in from out of state, acquired at an auction with a washed title?
The only warranty you should consider is one from Infiniti.
3rd party warranties are usually worthless and there are lots of other expensive items besides the engine and transmission.
Carefully have the undercarriage tires, TPMS sensors, brakes, rotors, exhaust, inspected as well as have their Consult lll pull any recent cleared codes

Purchasing from a used car dealer is a crap shoot.
You would be more likely to get a good one at a dealer coming off a three or four year lease with all service records being performed especially regular oil changes.

Where and how are you financing this vehicle?
At a bank or thru this used car dealer?
Make sure you read all the fine print and understand the financing costs and interest rate.

Hmm, I think I would keep looking. I bought almost the same car but in the best color () with 88k for $13,500. Not to mention I would spring for the '09 or higher for the updated 7 speed trans or even a 6 speed. That being said I have no problems with my trans at all, I just wouldn't hate the extra 2-3 MPG and the better acceleration.

Automatic is not fun at all but it is more reliable than 6MT which may require things like new csc and clutch, especially with this many miles.

Thanks for your replies guys.
Yes, financing through the dealer. I'd prefer o ne from Infiniti, they're just so expensive! Maybe they'll let me bring it to Infiniti for inspection during a test drive.

Its not so much if they will let you, you just tell them you're going to and if they refuse or advise against it, absolutely walk away...

I'd keep looking - 7 speed versus 5 speed would be the big difference. Otherwise, you can find plenty of cars with high mileage in that price range. Have you looked at the classifieds in this forum?
