Entire Center Console not working

So I was driving home from Mall of the Emirates, plugged in my phone as usual with a USB, selected a song via the car media, played it, after about 3 seconds, I hear a loud pop, (similar to a speaker blowing - or when an AUX cable is connected/disconnected quickly) and then my screen froze. Next set of lights I put the car in park, turn it on and off.

Once the car turns back on, the screen doesn't turn on at all and none of the buttons on the center console are working at all, apart from the hazard button.

All other electronics in the car are working, windows, lock, shifting, lights, stop lights etc.

I've spent about an hour going through the various issues on this forum that are similar but all the situations are slightly different.

I feel as if my phone may have caused a short in the circuit board or blown a fuse? I've turned the car off now and disconnected the battery in a hope to reset any software that may have caused the problem.

It's a 2012 coupe with 29,000 miles on, doubt that makes any difference though.

Any info/experience would really help.

Car was bought second hand for my 21st so it's not under warranty. Infiniti dealer here is basically clueless about everything/anything, as are all dealers here as they're run by generic mechanics from sub-continental asia - tend to be quite good with mechanical stuff, but no specialisation in electronics/specific car makes.

Very common symptoms of a blown fuse. I'm not sure where exactly that specific fuse is but its probably in the little compartment by your feet.

Thanks for the speedy response. It has me worried as on my mums Range Rover, the last time a fuse went, the whole car didn't start because of the electronic ignition.

I'll go downstairs and have a rummage around the car to have a look at the fuse boxes and see if there's anything noticeable.

Dang well, best of luck, our cars aren't so intricate but I think you'll find what you're looking for in the foot well. I can only assume the reason it went out was having too many things being powered or a previous user put in a smaller fuse. Be sure to replace it with the right size fuse listed on the cover.
