Exhaust help

I have a 2012 G37s with a muffler delete and love the sound. But i recently came across an ipl y and mid pipes. Do you guys think if i put it onto my car with the muffler delete will it get louder?

Probably. I am pretty sure the IPL pipes are a larger diameter than the S. Larger pipes = more exhaust exiting = louder (with respect to no muffler of course) You could get larger pipes and find a way to quiet it down but I guess that would defeat the purpose

That make sense. And also do you think it wil be a problem to fit the ipl y and mid with the pipes i put in place of my muffler? Since you said they are a different size.

Louder? No.
Same size diameter piping.
The only difference is the ipl has an H pipe not a Y. And the muffler is different.
If you make the switch youll gain horsepower due to the true dual design. I doubt itll be louder though. I belive the IPL is quiter than the S due to muffler design. Sice you have muffler delete your only benefit will be power from the true dual.

Who know. The best mod is a tune. Second is hfc or test pipes and cold air intake and then exhaust. By power were talking 5hp ish not much.

Meh, you might get a couple ponies, nothing really noticeable. Are you looking for power or sound more?

Mainly sound which is why i did muffler delete in the first place. But since i came across an ipl for cheap i was wondering if it would enhance the sound even more when paired with the muffler delete.

With just solely looking for sound, I'd skip the marginal, if at all, sound difference on the IPL swap and just grab a Top Speed Y-pipe. It'll add quite a bit more sound and maybe even free up 1-2HP. Completely bolt on and cheap.
