Yep. I was very against the aftermarket ones and stated so, as you quoted. I was convinced to try the Strong Arm ones and have so far been very impressed with them, as I posted later in the thread you quoted from. Hopefully I won't have to replace these while I still have this car.

After eight years the struts on my ’08 also failed this year. I just had the dealer replace them.

These are dealer covered if you have the elite warranty. I had them replaced last year.

I just recently bought the same ones BB did. Installed in about 30 seconds and they seem very strong. I HIGHLY recommend these over OEM, based on the fact that they seem like a quality product and the fact that i could buy 3 sets of these for the price of 1 set of OEM.
