Fix or Upgrade?
An ex friend of mine took over payments for my 2008 Infiniti G37s January of 2014. He stopped paying January of 2015. I finally received the car back in November after winning the court case against him and repo-ing the car when he was out of town. He let the car go to total crap. I took it to the stealership they had it for about 2 weeks and they want at least 4200 to change sprockets, timing chain, timing cover etc..... Question to you... Do I pull engine and try to fix everything myself... Or do I pull engine and put something else in it? Dilemma: I currently have 2 cars now (because of repo) and still paying 680 a month for the G. (paid off next year). I have to get rid of 1 of the 2 vehicles because I am looking to buy another house. vehicle #1 2008 Infiniti G37s #2 2009 Cadillac cts-v. V has seemed like it would be the easy choice to sell since it is the stick shift version and very rare to come across. So keeping the infiniti would be the more obvious choice. The infiniti is a beautiful vehicle (as many of you know) but after driving the cts-v the infiniti is low on the hp/tq. If I were to keep the Infiniti it would need some sort of boost to make me happy. So Either it is going to get a v8 transplant or boost. Either way something is going to happen with it. I'm kind of all over the place on this post and I am sorry. Its 3:45am and i'm lacking sleep. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Obviously I will be a permanent member here because I have the vehicle back so this isnt a 1 post and gone type of situation for me.
