Help! Passenger Hood Latch Stuck (pic)

Guys, I changed out some badly rusty bolts last night in the engine compartment including the hood latch area yesterday and today my passenger side hood latch is stuck. The driver's side unlatches. I'm wondering if one of the bolts may have been too long which may have caused the problem. BTW, I used OEM bolts but noticed that the new bolts were slightly longer.

I went through the wheel well and tried to undo the latch without success. Here's a picture of the passenger side hood latch. (I took off the spring which was in the way.) Anybody have any idea how to undo the latch from the wheel well? Thanks!!!

PongSanity, thanks for the response! Are you saying pull the cable toward the driver's side or toward the passenger side? I tried moving the part that the cable was attached to with a screwdriver but it wouldn't budge.

You're not saying pull the cable off the track right?

I actually don't have a technique to the madness. I was under the car pulling the cablee by the latch. And my buddy been pulling on the latch from inside the car.

Problem solved! Accessed the hood latch through the fender well and had to grind the latch open with a tungsten carbide bit because the Dremel cutting saw blade was too large to fit into the tight space. The replacement bolt was slightly longer than the original bolt and it prevented the mechanism from unlatching. I also read on another G37 site that mentioned that some aftermarket dress bolts had the same issue and caused his latch to become stuck. Installed the new OEM latch and good to go!

For those who ever need to replace the latch due to damage or rust, it screws in but not all the way or it won't sit evenly with the latch lock. Measure the distance from top to bottom with the other latch (2 latches) so the hood latches evenly.
