I'm new this and recently just picked up an '08 G coupe and if my doors are locked and I have the key in my pocket the sensor doesn't pick it up if I'm on the opposite side of the car... Do I need to replace the batteries or get a new key??

Are you talking about being on the passenger side and the drivers door button not working? If so that's normal as you need to be within about 2 feet of the door handle for it to work.

Yeah if I'm on the drivers side the passenger door won't open, my brother has a g35 his doesn't have this problem
