What is the largest size TV you managed to squeeze into your trunk with the seats folded down? Or sticking out of the trunk?

Not very big, I'm guessing?

Maybe delivery is my only option here.

Anyone ever tie a TV to the roof?
As others have advised you

Pay for delivery and make sure the new TV works before the delivery people leave.
If you do it yourself and the TV doesn't work or is damaged by you you'll be in a clusterfvck in trying to get a replacement
If by chance it doesn't work upon delivery they can just put it back in the carton and return with another one.

Buy the largest TV for your space and not one that will fit in a vehicle

Just my $.02

I was able to barely fit a 46inch samsung in the trunk with the seats down. I doubt anything larger would fit through the opening behind the seats. Its deceptively narrow. Now if you don't mind having half the TV hang out the back of your trunk thats a different story.... I had to get on the highway and thats too ghetto even for me.... and I've been known to get pretty ghetto.....
This is the answer I was looking for. Thanks.

Haha, yeah why settle for a measley 50". It is a living room TV, so I guess the bigger the better.

Brought my 46" Sharp Aquos home in the back seat of my coupe. Had to move both seats forward. It was tight but it slid right in.

If in doubt....don't do it, find a alternative.

That seat folding can let a lot of space. But +1 for online retailers. Better deals found than local 9/10

I just bought a 43 inch, and it was the perfect amount of room to fit it with the seats folded down.

LOL! When I first read the OP's title, I thought he wanted to bling out his interior with a big a$$ televizzle covering the whole right side of the dash, woot woot!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyways, get it delivered, and get the size you really want, don't decide based on what fits in your car!
