I drove a straight shift for years and drove in bumper to bumper traffic and decided I did not need my left thigh muscle any larger then it already was.

Like Black Betty said, most of us here have an automatic. This is not the best automatic around as there is a lot of lag when you want a downshift. Even manual downshifts aren't that quick. For all the grief we get for driving an automatic it has one redeeming quality and it's the launch in 1st gear.

7AT and proud of it. Even tho it's not a 6MT which I would like, I'm happy with the convenience of an Automatic.

I've had manual's my whole life and told myself I'd never ever get an auto. I changed my mind after having to deal with all the Orange County traffic here in CA. It's my daily driver during the week. I will tell you that transmissions have changed over the last few years. My buddy lets me take out his Ferrari 458 anytime I want and let me tell you..... I wouldn't buy that same car even if they made them in a manual. There is NO way you could get threw gears faster then auto that's in there. Those of you out there that have driven a Ferrari before know what I mean.

I get that, but I don't necessarily try to shift faster than any modern double clutch transmission out there, it's about fun for me.

It's not so much about shifting faster. It's about stomp and go power with out any effort. I drive a Mustang GT on the weekends and look forward to driving my manual. You always feel more in control with manuals...

I'm guessing it's like personal preference or something like that.

I feel that. For me it's stomp and go power with the effort. Makes it more worthwhile for me. I know what you're saying though.

I got the 7AT on my X. Used to drive a big **** FJ60 Land Cruiser in heavy traffic. I would have gone either way, but the car available when I was in need of one was an automatic.

I have zero problems driving in the horrible OC traffic with my 6mt coupe. And I just came from a Q50 sedan.

What I noticed is better acceleration with the 6mt coupe and better gas mileage. There is some lag with the "slush box".

And yes, way more fun to drive. Especially late night with no traffic. Want instant acceleration? just down shift bruh.

Exactly, it does not bother me at all with the Miami rush hour traffic, which is one of worst.
