Please help me order an exhaust.

Hello,

I don't have the budget to get a Stillen 3 or one of those expensive exhausts right now. However, Mr. Brad (blnewt) recommended me an affordable exhaust and I like it so far. I have the stock exhaust now.

Brad recommended me the following exhaust:

Infiniti G37 Dual Axle-back Exhaust System (Bevel Edge Tips) - Top Speed Auto Accessories, Inc.

However, I also found this exhaust for the same price.

Infiniti G37 Top Speed Pro-1 Upgrade Axle-back Exhaust System - Top Speed Auto Accessories, Inc.

What is the difference between them? This video mentions its using the TopSpeed Axle Back exhaust but not sure which one is it?

The lower version is a muffler delete axle back, you're running straight pipes w/ new tips (those are the good beveled tips though) so your G will be quite a bit louder than the top version which has the muffler section.

For the same price I'd wait until they have the top version in stock (if you don't have to wait long). The straight pipe muffler delete may amplify some drone & could have some rasp.

All these terminology are like to me, lol.

So in other words, you prefer to order the top version (the one you initially recommended)?

Does it sound like the G in the video is using the top version? One of the user said "No muffler, straight pipes to the tips". And what do you mean by "amplify some drone and could have some rasp"?

For the same price the top version would be the better choice in my opinion.
The G has an area of the rpm range that will drone (which is a deep bass tone that will be noticeable in the cabin), this is in the 1500 to 1800 rpm range typically. The less resonance you have in your exhaust the more likely the drone will amplify. There's also rasp which is a bit harder to define, kind of a higher pitched metallic vibrating noise that occurs in a wider rpm range than drone, this is more common as the flow of the exhaust gets less restricted.

So in short, the top version will give you a deeper and louder tone w/ a more minimal drone volume. The lower version will be louder w/ more drone and may introduce some rasp.

If the lower version was quite a bit less money than it would be easier to recommend it, but for the same price IMO the top version is a clear winner.

You can buy those Top Speed mufflers on ebay for 50 dollars less. Look under Manzo or Beluga.

I have the Beluga (Same as Top Speed) mufflers paired to a custom 2.5in X pipe and resonated mid pipes with 12 inch resonators.

Sounds amazing.

Thank you very much. Will order the top version when it's available.

Might call and ask when they will restock.

You don't have to wait. These are eBay exhausts.

Edit: Don't get this on because it's single walled tips. They look bad. Get one of the two others.

They're all the same.

The top one you listed has those tin can tips though, those look very poor. The lower two should be a much better look.

Ah, didn't notice that. Yeah the Beluga and the Manzo ones are the double walled rolled tips. I have them on my car.

Ignore that single walled tip one.

The first one is an axleback with muffler
2nd one is axleback without muffler...essentially a straight pipe. So this one is significantly louder

If you want loud, get the 2nd one. The first one is significantly quieter.

I see that the Manzo axle-back has a "best offer" option on eBay.

Anyone getting results offering $200 or less?
