squeaking noise when pressing brake

Hi,

This may be an easy solution for you guys but I can't figure out where this squeaking noise is coming from. It feels like its coming from the passenger side rear.

Basically when I reverse or come to a full stop - there is this loud squeaking noise it makes. Sometimes it doesn't but most of the time it seem to.

Completely normal for this to happen. Your brake pads are a key factor in this, but most supercars and exotics will have squealing brakes until the pads heat up.

Nothing to worry about, just slightly annoying to some people

Putting copper grease on the back of the pad before installing them can make a small difference IIRC

Hi Nick,

I am not quite sure if this completely normal to happen. When I first bought the car I did not have this noise. Whenever I hit the break I can hear a squeaking noise coming from the passenger side back tires. When I reverse out of a parking space and I hit break - I can hear the squeaking noise. Sometimes it's so loud.

Don't you think I need to replace the brake pads/rotors? Any suggestions from where to buy it?

Mods,
Can you please move this thread to Brakes, Suspension, Wheels & Tires? I realized I created it in the wrong sub-forum.

I have the same noise from mine, that I just bought yesterday. I am changing the brake pads tonight. Will keep you posted as to whether or not this works.

Were you able to change the brake pads?

It's been really pissing me off lately with the squeaking noise. Sometimes they're so loud that it can probably wake the neighbors up (LOL).
