Buy the OEM kit. It comes with everything you need to install besides a drill bit. It even comes with new trunk struts to compensate for the extra weight of the spoiler. All years are the same, just make sure you get the right paint code for your car. I posted in another thread that on infinitipartsusa.com they have vibrant red and lapis blue oem spoiler kits for $260!

bqbal: The spoiler uses some of the same mounting holes as the chrome trim. Only one accent piece on the trunk is allowed at a time

Not 100% true, you have to drill a few new holes. Yes, you use some existing holes from the chrome trim piece but that's not all the holes you need for proper installation.

Never mind, re-read Herostar's post ... he is not not saying you use the existing holes exclusively.

My sport and every other sport coupe I see has a spoiler and I only see the chrome piece on the non sport coupes so I figured that's how they all came from the factory.
No, the chrome piece is removed as part of the spoiler (OEM) installation.

I have the sport coupe and it has the chrome trim piece. Hope to get rid of it soon, but K51 (platinum graphite) is a tough paint code to find.
