Q60 Final Teaser - Revealed in Detroit
#706
Yes you are right, I didn't realize they charge 40k for a base 2.0 car, that's insane. However, 2 other bits of info that can be used to guesstimate the price are the fact that G35\G37 was always about 10k below comparable German car and that z32 3.0 twin turbo cost about 42k in todays dollars.

My Q60 6MT agreed upon price was $38k. My buyout is $30k. I'm guessing when lease is up, I can negotiate a lower buyout price? I mean, they had a very hard time selling this coupe. lol (not to many people want a 9 year old design and manual transmission.).
Imagine 2 years from now when the new Q60 is out.

As suspected the production 2017 Q60 is coming to Detroit. So the summer/fall release date seems to be a go. Guess I better start saving up my money!

I came here to say this as well. No dealership / finance backer would budge, so don't take it personally when they shoot you down if you inquire during or at the end of your lease.
Thanks for the confirmation heads-up... this show happens to fall on my birthday, hopefully the final details and specifics are a gift in themselves-- rather than a let down.

You guys can sell it to me for 22-25k, or hope and pray someone is willing to pay more for it at an auction or just let it sit and take up space at the lot.
You know how many used g37 i'm seeing in the lot today? lol Y not take the 22k? or whatever the fair market value is at the time. i know it wont be 30k.

Anyways, back to the new coupe. Im guessing if they show it at Detroit, and start production in Japan in April, it comes at late summer? What do you guys think?

It was always rumored to release late summer/early fall of 2016. So this just confirms and lines up with that time frame! Now I'm pumped!

If this car doesnt come with a 6MT, I officially am done with the Infiniti brand.
Bottom line, NO 6MT, NO CARE. Period.
So goddamnit Infiniti will you just put 3 pedals in the thing.

I would however, consider purchase if it comes with a Dual Clutch Automatic (Same as the GT-R).
But a regular Automatic - forget it.
I guess at that point, I'll have to see what Nissan is going to replace the 370Z with.

I know, sure glad the GT-R has a 6MT .... it's lack of traditional clutch has not made that a deal breaker. Put a good transmission in the new Q60 and I could care less if there is a third pedal.

I wouldnt want a manual on a GTR.
The G is not a GTR. Its not a track monster, dedicated to getting the fastest track time possible.
Its an entry level luxury sport coupe, just like the 4 Series, just like the ATS, and just like the A4. All those cars come with manuals. The car deserves a manual, period.

Dude, if the GT-R came with a manual, you know how crazy fun that would be. Sure using the automated launch control can give you a cheap thrill but c'mon....
I was also shopping for the RC Coupe Fsport. Didn't get it because yep, auto. Lexus has some great deals on those. $399 $800 down. For a loaded RC Coupe. (52k msrp)

Well I don't think it's Apple/Oranges .... it's about the transmission, not the car. Your telling me that if the Q60 has a 3.0 twin turbo 6, that can do 0-60 in the 4.3-4.5 range but has a dual clutch and not a clutch pedal you'll walk away? For the perspective price point, performance and most importantly Japanese reliability .... what are your real options? I doubt very much that sales will suffer without a 6MT as long as it has some get-up and go and better low end torque.
