"Infiniti Q60
There will be no 2016 Q60. The 2017 Q60 – based on the Q60 Concept shown in early 2015 – will be available in late-summer/early fall 2016."

2016 Infiniti Q50 Adding 2.0L Turbo Four to Lineup

Infiniti also announced other changes for its 2016 model lineup, confirming that no Q60 will be produced and that the new 2017 Q60 will be available late next year. As for the 2016 Infiniti QX60, details on that model will be announced at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show before heading to dealerships in spring 2016.

Funny thing is the Lexus RC 350 will have a similar engine available in U.S. Next year.

Regardless the engine will not be very powerful, for either the Q or RC.

So no Q60 till more than a year from now. That sucks.

But on the bright side, at least we will still be driving the latest model Coupe for a whole nother year.

Crazy to think that the current G37 Coupe has had a 9 year run.

Dreams crushed. I was really hoping it would be out no later than spring or early summer 2016. I would only consider the Q60 with the turbo 6 but still no news if it will initially launch with it. Funny how they take so long between model life cycles yet still wonder why sales are low. Lexus took just as long renewing their IS lineup. Only other car I was considering aside from the Q60 is the new M2 which goes into production this fall and arrives in spring. Ohh well, at least the Germans are on track.

Ok so after looking at the pic in the link I posted I realize its an illusion. That concept is a 4 door. But I can see how a vert Q60 on the new model could possibly look

They did incorporate the IS-F during this time though. Infiniti did the IPL but that turned out pretty bad.

Lexus has been doing great lately while Infiniti has been stuck in a never ending line of blunders: model rename fiasco, Eau Rouge fiasco, G25 fiasco, no more 6MT fiasco, 9 years without any substantial refreshes on G37 coupe, etc. It's pretty sad. The only one thats doing even worse is Acura as they are basically rebadging Hondas and selling them at premium at this point.

People here on the forum - including yourself - keep saying this over an over. "Infiniti isn't doing well, they aren't selling cars, they're losing money, etc." I truly wonder where this is coming from. What am I missing that you know? School me.

Nobody outside of online forums and a few bored journalists cares about the new naming scheme. An exec built an awesome concept car and promised to take it to production, then bolted for another job and it got shelved. That's a fiasco? Infiniti isn't investing the time and money into the G37 because that's not where they make their money. They make money on crossovers and SUVs. That's where production effort and resources are going. And lately they, and Nissan as a whole, are doing just fine.

All marketing BS aside, Infiniti is not even selling 30% of the cars Lexus is selling and less than half of what Acura is doing. They can't even sell on the level of rebadged front wheel drive POS honda. They can set all sorts of "records" they like but Lexus is moving 30k cars a month and killing it while Infiniti is slowly dying. Q50 was a semi-flop, if Q60 flops as well, it will be the end of them.

100% what BB said. Infiniti Sales are up year to year. Q50, QX60 and QX80 are the ones bringing the bread in. Yes the Q50 isnt selling like the G37 was at its peak but the QX50 has been selling like crazy to the point where most dealers have 2-3 on the lot max and trying to dealer trade is a nightmare. And its a pure profit car. This is a vehicle that has not seen any changes since it was introduced in 07 as an 08. All it got was a .2 liter increase and 2 extra gears in the transmission. Also at a starting point of $34,000, you can get your self into a 328hp perforamnce sedan known as the Q40/G37. Those still sell in the 1500-2000 a month which is a pure profit car for Infiniti. The Q70Ls are a bargin for anyone looking at the A8L, S-Class, LS, and 7 series if you are looking just for the extra size. They are 1500 more than the regular Q70 and include Heated/Cooled Seats, Heated Steering wheel, Around View Monitor, Memory seats and power lumbar standard which those competitors do not include free.

The QX30 and Q30 Hatch back are going to be great vehicle for Infiniti due to the popluarity of the Crossover/5 door segment right now. The New QX50 due this month, which is just a stretched QX50 with DRLs and a new grill will continue to do great. The QX60 is still #2 best seller and will continue that trend.

The down side for us, the 1%, is that what WE want gets put on the back burner.

You're speaking into deaf ears. When people argue against objective facts and numbers, you have an emotion based argument and there's no reasoning with emotion. Of course we want what we want. But Infiniti is going to put their effort into what selling and what's profitable. They are taking care of their P&L statements, EBITDA, and bonuses and not what their 1% outlier customers think is important. Everyone doesn't get that.

And I think you are right about the Q30 and QX30. They'll pay for some nice vacations for some execs and maybe a few beach houses.

Speak of the devil, look what I just read.

"Infiniti has released full details about its 2016 model year lineup for the US market. While there are no all-new models being introduced, the changes are worth discussing.

Before we go any further, let's mention that the company is doing quite well, with sales up 22.2% in July 2015 and 10.1% for the year so far. Sales of the Q50 sports sedan totaled 3,807, an increase of 54.7 percent.

Starting from the bottom of the range, the Infiniti Q40 compact premium sedan has been discontinued. Sales have fallen dramatically, reaching only 8,000 units in seven months. The Q30 premium compact (hatchback) will take its place as the new entry-level model for the Infiniti brand when it arrives in showrooms in late spring/early summer 2016.

There were no demand problems with the Infiniti Q50, the only all-new sedan models the company has. Additional details will be announced in late 2015, but for now we're being told that a 2-liter turbo will be made available.

The engine is the same one you get on the Mercedes CLA 250, only it's been flipped around to fit a longitudinal setup. It will be available exclusively with a 7-speed automatic and should deliver a little over 200 horsepower.

For 2016, there won't be any Q60 coupe on convertible. A replacement is planned for the 2017 model year and will borrow styling elements from the stunning Q60 Concept shown at the Detroit Auto Show.

Seeing how popular the long wheelbase Q70 has become, the company decided to do the same with the QX50 premium crossover. The model originally known as the EX has been stretched by 3.2 inches, resulting in significantly increased rear seat roominess – including 4.3 inches of additional legroom and 3.9 inches of added rear knee room. Changes also include LED daytime running lights, 19-inch wheels, a standard moonroof and more safety systems.

The 2016 QX60 will not be revealed until the North American International Auto Show in January 2016. Considering the 7-seater is still new, we expect a minor update to take place. With 3,000 delivered last month, this is Infiniti's most popular "truck" and second most popular model after the Q50.

For more details, such as mpg updates and changes in trim, check out the press release below."

Heres the Offical 2016 changes.

Keep in mind that because the Q60 does not get a 2016, it does not mean we will/will not see one next year as a 17. Im still betting the Farm that it will be about next summer.
2016 Infiniti Changes Announced: QX50 Gets Longer, 2-Liter Turbo for Q50, Q60 Discontinued - autoevolution

For 2016, the Infiniti lineup in the United States expands once again, literally, with a new longer, roomier Infiniti QX50 premium crossover. With its wheelbase extended 3.2-inches, the 2016 QX50 offers greatly increased rear passenger room, as well as additional cargo space. It also features new exterior styling.

There are additional changes in store for 2016, starting with the addition of a new 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder engine for the Infiniti Q50 sports sedan available in the winter of 2016. Other Infiniti Q50 enhancements will be announced at the North American International Auto Show in January. In addition, revisions to the Infiniti QX60 luxury crossover will be announced at that time.

The Infiniti QX80 full-size SUV keeps it fresh for 2016 with a new Signature Edition, which includes Driver Assistance and Split Bench packages, Saddle Tan high-contrast interior, bodyside moldings and chrome mirror caps. The QX80 Special Edition is limited to just 1,000 units. The iconic Infiniti QX70 performance crossover enters the new model year unchanged.

And, following the introduction last year of the new Infiniti Q70 long-wheelbase model, the flagship Q70 sedan enters the 2016 model year with a new Premium Select Edition package for the standard wheelbase models, featuring unique exterior and interior accents, unique 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and a rear decklid spoiler.

Once again in 2016, all Infiniti vehicles come with Infiniti Personal Assistant™, a live 24/7 personal concierge service, included free of charge for the first 12 months of ownership. It's part of Infiniti's Total Ownership Experience®, which promises a uniquely enjoyable buying and ownership package – supported by features such as service loan cars, roadside assistance and trip interruption benefits. [For more information please visit InfinitiUSA.com.]

The enhancements for the 2016 model year are only the beginning. New production models based on the Q30 and QX30 Concepts are currently in development. The 2017 Infiniti QX30 premium active crossover and 2017 Infiniti Q30 premium active compact are both expected to be available in late spring/early summer 2016, followed by the 2017 Infiniti Q60 coupe in late summer/early fall 2016. Full details on these vehicles will be available at a later date. As part of the transition to the new lineup, the current Q60 Coupe and Q60 Convertible are ending their production cycles, as is the Q40 Sedan.

Key changes to the 2016 Infiniti lineup include, but are not limited to, the following:

Infiniti Q40
