I would wait for the 2017. I would never buy a first run of a car...just in case of bugs and all. Just a thing I have, but I am curious and very intrigued by this car. Can't wait to see one in the metal

I think that most of the V8's will give way to this new 3.0L TT. I think the new engine will be a very versatile platform in that regard. They've got no choice in the matter and have to tee themselves up for those looming 2025 CAFE standards with a corporate fleet avg of 54.5. I think it'll be a good thing though.

Really? I didn't know that the new Navigator had the boosted V6 now. It makes sense.

A luxurious, leather-lined relic of the gas-guzzling past, the Navigator soldiers on, now motivated by a more efficient 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6. The new engine makes 380 hp and 460 lb-ft; buyers can choose rear- or all-wheel drive with tow ratings of 9000 and 8600 lbs, respectively.

Interestingly, they mentioned the Infiniti QX80 in the article and it's note-worthy that the QX80 is now at a 47 lb-ft torque deficit to the boosted V6 in the Navigator. Hmm, this is going to get very interesting. The fuel economy gains are negligible at best (but to be expected when pulling that much pork), but they're going to have to put that thing on a massive diet of high tensile strength steel and aluminum to bring the economy figures up by any appreciable amount.
The optional 22" wheel/tire package apparently tips the scales at 90 lbs PER CORNER! That's a LOT of rotational mass.

Next Gen Q60 Discussion
We've all seen the articles now. Seems like 400-450HP TT V6 is on the table, hopefully.
My questions are about other aspects. Specifically, Transmission and Pricing.
The new Q60 simply has to come with Dual Clutch transmission, right? I mean the Dual clutch has been offered by BMWs direct competition for a few years now. DCTs are also starting to come in lower priced cars (VM, etc) for a few years now. And hopefully Infiniti (Nissan) knows about the 7A/T speed issue that came up in discussion many times.
The thing that makes me wonder about whether a DCT will be on the new Q60 is that Nissan doesn't have one except in the GT-R. That trans is prolly to expensive to put on the Q60.
Also, adding Plumbing, 2 Turbos and intercoolers makes for a larger price tag. It's just simply more parts to put on a car.
What will the cost of the new Q60 be with TT and maybe a DCT? I think one of the things that made the G37/Q60 so popular was that it stayed under 50 for the most part.
What are your thoughts?

I find it hard to believe the Q60 is gonna go from current 330hp to "up to" 450hp. Right now the direct competition for the current G37 coupe/Q60 are other cars putting out similar power and almost the same price range. 435i, RC350, C350, ATS.
If the next Q60 is going to come with up to 450HP that means its stepping in M3/M4, RC-F, RS5, C63, ATS-V territory. Those are all cars that range anywhere from $60k-$70k.
The starting price of the Q60 right now is $40,950..
