Maybe a base Q60, but there are many features, including safety and tech that the M2 doesn't offer. Sure you may not care about those features, but some people are looking for those features.

I'm mainly referring to safety and convenience features. Just compare the specs and you'll see. A couple I can think of is; the pre collision systems, autonomous braking, power tilt & telescopic steering wheel, remote start, heated seats, heated steering wheel, 360 degree parking cams, adjustable suspension ....the list goes on. Even something as simple as aluminum pedals, I know, now I'm being picky but c'mon BMW why not include some nice looking sport pedals in your M model.

It actually has the vast majority of that. There is one package (Executive) that includes the a few of them and the rest are stock (Only rear view camera and not surround).
Sure it doesn't have aluminum pedals, but what $100 add on and you have them. Also includes Apple Car Play for $300.

I will give you that the M2 won't be going for a discount, BMW's rarely do, and sure it all comes down to personally preference. I'm fairly agnostic when it comes to cars, I float from one to another and whatever happens to strike my fancy at the moment I'm looking is what I'll get. I'll check out the RS when it comes out (I'm really hoping that it's a lot more impressive than the 3.0 I test drove a few weeks back, I really loved my IPL and there are way too many BMW's around here as is). If it doesn't do it for me I'll check out the M2, M4, 718 CS, C63 and maybe a few others, regardless what I pick I won't fault anyone from going with a RS (And who knows still a few months to go, I might get the RS).

I don't think Infiniti has great perception when it comes to power. It's known for being an affordable car with a hint of luxury. Now it's semi irrelevant due to its lack of new gen models & being able to stand out. Throwing M parts together and being the little brother of a borderline 80k car that is super fast & kills the track is pretty nice. A lot of people consider it the old e92 M3 on roids.
What I might add would be it was supposed to be a cheaper and more reliable BMW imitation. It was very good at that at least on paper.
Now back to the RS vs M2. One should understand that it is not the straight line acceleration alone that makes M2 superior, in fact it is not really that fast since the new M240i, which is just a slightly pepped 2 series, WILL almost match that (or come very close). The driving pleasure between the two will be night and day.

Yeah I know the pedals are a cheap add on, but a fully loaded Q60 will sell for basically the same amount as the M2 because dealers aren't discounting the M2 much, in fact some are marking it up. The Q60 RS will probably be 3-4 tenths slower than the M2 and differences between drivers can eliminate that variance so IMO the RS is the better deal. I stress IMO.
A car that does 4.6 in 0-60 vs one that does it in 4 flat or lower means you are putting 3 plus cars on the trailer.
Lol the m2 is a sub 4 second car, or 4 on the dot.
The Infiniti RS will not be in that ball park.
Different drivers won't do much, maybe new turbos or e85 or spray will get you there but that's it.
That's ****img funny

Almost my thoughts.

But once you drive both you will immediately realize the differences in handling.

Idk who asked about the wood option but we have a coupe with it. Here is what I could do real quick when we were moving the lot around today.
