Q60 Final Teaser - Revealed in Detroit

I agree, 3.0 TT with factory warranty would be awesome. But I wouldn't be suprised if they reused old 3.7 as it's tried and true, doesn't require payments to be made to Mercedes and costs less.

I'm hoping since they haven't changed anything (important) in 6 years they would step it up. Especially with the new Lexus looking sexy as all hell.

I would think they may consider a smaller displacement engine with a turbo or supercharger. The one area the G is behind the latest generation of competition is fuel consumption. Seems most of the auto companies have targeted this area aggressively. I also hope they don't go the stripped down route with expensive options. Guess we find out soon.

Probably a newly developed Nissan engine. (3.0L twin-turbo six-cylinder?)

I hope for the U.S market, the Q60 remains six-cylinder only.

Any reservations about getting the first generation of the Q60?
I remember jumping on the 2008 G37, and the next year, they kicked up the transmission to a 7 speed...dang

Now, they have been found to be as, if not better than NA engines. But I agree with what you are saying.

I like where this is going! Now give us a twin turbo engine and a 6MT please!

Pretty aggressive, if they could get that stance similar w/ the production model then it's a win in the looks dept. With what appears to be quite a bit of room under the hood maybe a surprise in store there too
More to like than dislike so far IMO and a much better look than the Q50 at first glance.

Where does the front license plate go? If directly under the grille, then you hide that nice design element where the trim sweeps upward in the center. And if it's over the grill anywhere... ewww.
The GTR-like front fender design is interesting. The sheet-metal at the bottom of the doors, not so much. Love the headlights, hate the rims. First impression is promising, however. Eager to see the tail end. Should we expect the production version to have those side-view mirrors? Probably not. How about the flush, narrow fitment on the wheels/tires? Also, probably not.
Sunday's reveal should be fun.
