The car will exceed the Q50 Hybrid's combined 360HP but not exceed 375.
If you look at the history of time, you will see that the G coupe has ALWAYS shared the same engine as the Z. This only means the next Z will also get this twin turbo 3.0 . I have strong feeling they will put 400 horses in the Z.
The thing is, Nissan has partnered with Mercedes. Mercedes CLA AMG makes 354HP. Their brand new C450 AMG makes 362HP and 384TQ out of what? Exactly a 3.0L twin turbo. Nissan HAS to best the performance of the Benz, even though they are partners, they are STILL competitors.
Bottom line, 375HP out of their new TT 3.0L will stand above the rest, and still keep plenty of room between the 400HP Z and the future IPL/Eau Rouge variants of the Q60, which will exceed 550HP+

I'll be disappointed if the 2.0L single turbo M133 engine in MBs CLA AMG can make 355/322 out of the box and Nissan can't/won't put out a power plant with 2 more cylinders, an extra liter of displacement and an extra turbo that can't best that mark by at least about 100 HP. That would be a waste of fuel efficiency with not enough return in performance to me.

Thanks for a reasonable explanation of your thought process on why you believe that the output will be around 375 HP. Your logic makes sense to me, even though I don't agree.

It also can't be too high up the ladder because BMW is still at 300, Audi is at 333 and MB 350. Makes no sense - to me of course - to hit 400hp when your competition is actually hold place at 320'ish based on averages.
The IPL version however all bets are off. BWM is getting 425hp - we know it makes more - ATS 450hp, If you go to 400 baseline model then your top line model has to hit 475. In my mind thats pushing the upper limit of what should be expected for a 3 liter engine thats not going to has loads of turbo lag.

We could have more than 2 tiers....
$50,000 / Q60 Sport 6MT 3.0L TT = 375HP
$65,000 / Q60 IPL = 450HP
$90,00 / Q60 Type-ER (Eau Rouge) = 560+ HP, GT-R brakes, Carbon fiber everywhere.
If only I could dream....

Interesting. Some of you have put a lot of thought into this. Let's see if Infiniti pushes to be great and actually challenge the competitors that they seem themselves on par with in their minds, or if the remain the Infiniti they've been for years now and put out a car with just enough to be on the cusp of luxury and performance.
Cadillac is proof that you can churn out garbage for decades and turn it all around in a generation or two if you work at it. The last cars Infiniti made that grabbed the attention of people who aren't loyal fans were the original Q45 and the G35 12 years ago. I hope this is a strong comeback.

I can't believe I just heard about this concept! God now I know what my next car will be. Bye 2008 G37 and hello Q60 woooo. I would be happy if it started at 375hp. I love the front soooo much but the back looks ok.
