...Hence the option to turn on/off.

I know what you meant when you said Option, but I found it funny. I'm on the same boat as you. I personally dislike it too.

I don't understand what the problem is. It can be turned off and that is it. Not having this feature would not have made the car 5K cheaper.

Now I want the option of not having backseats, a hatchback and better transmission.

They have it on the car to boost the MPG ratings. That's why they can't just offer the car without it, but if you can turn it off, it's the same as if the car doesn't have it, so no problem there. The only thing that would be REALLY annoying would be if it automatically turned on every time the car is started, like traction control. But I doubt they would do that.

I wont quibble over this too much as I dont think the Q60 will even have it (unless I missed something). If in the future it ends up as a standard feature- I say just remember to hit the button to turn it off when you start driving.. Kinda like hitting the "OK" button on the navi screen everytime..

The things I know are different are the shifter, the seats, paddles are on the wheel instead of column, and the steering wheel is different. Maybe our friend can fill in any other differences.

I haven't seen one in person but I think the cup holders are different, the door trim and the sunroof controls. I do think we can confirm black headliner.
