Different topic .... I'll be curious to see what Infiniti comes out with for a spoiler on the new Q60. I think it's safe to say we all loved the G35 OEM spoiler but the G37 left us wanting more, better than nothing but was still weak.

i use a reasonable cost vs. benefit when i mod cars.
$175 for an axle-back exhaust for the G37, with better sound and lighter weight? sure. $600 for Accessport on the Evo for almost 100 extra hp? sure.

$2000 for a couple extra hp on the G37? nope. $2000 for stage 2 Evo upgrade, when its already way faster than i need for a daily driver? nope.

while some people actually use their cars for motorsports and racing, i doubt most G/Q drivers do. for those who are "car guys", it would be no fun to drive a Nissan Versa everyday, but some point you need to ask yourself if you really need to add that supercharger or turbo kit when all you do is drive to work and the grocery store. they do score points on the internet *****-measuring contests, though.

I have been thinking about this as well. While the integrated spoiler looks good on the new Q60, I always usually prefer a decklid spoiler of some type, so I am curious as to how aggressive the optional spoiler will be on the red sport version.

If there is an accessory spoiler, my guess is it will be similar to the g37's. The larger G35 spoiler (03-05) fit the look of that car perfectly, IMO. But what did Infiniti do in 06? Minimized the size of it. It became kinda sorta integrated, as did the stock silver spoiler on the G37. And now the completely integrated spoiler on the Q60. I love that G35 spoiler, but that size would not have fit the look of the G37.

And to your point(s) about 0-60 times, people that are that concerned about 0-60 times on the Q60 should likely look at other cars instead. Nowadays, there are a LOT of cars as fast or faster than the Q60. A 4.5 sec. 0-60 for a 3700/3800 lb. car will put a smile on most owner's faces, I would think, as that turbo torque hits early!

This thread is moving at a million miles per hour so I apologize if this has been talked about, but is anyone else disappointed they abandoned the thigh extension on the seat? I always thought that was a nice touch.

I'm a little more disappointed on the fact that the quilted seats/door trim didn't make it from the concept (yet the new Maxima has quilted seats). Disappointed that it doesn't offer ventilated seats (Maxima has had that too, even previous body style) and I wish they had the stretched display the Maxima has instead of just carrying over the Q50s (which I understand but still).

The car basically comes with everything else I like and want.

Exactly! I want them too and have left hope that there may be a slight chance that a higher version of the car be introduced at a later date that may have this option.

I really want cooled seats as well! Though if it doesn't that won't stop me from getting it as the rest of the package is perfect. Hoping that it is a option though!! The previous generation IPL had cooled seats.

I mean they give you lane guidance, I have no problem keeping the car in a lane but I can't cool my a$$ on a long trip.

LOL, trust me, I know. I'm here in Texas so you're preaching to the choir! If it doesn't have cooled seats will just have to use remote start and cool the interior down on hot days, lol, still won't stop me from getting black leather interior though! Just like the way it looks, especially if the pillars and interior roof can be black now also.

Really not sure how a spoiler would look with the Q60 already integrated with one.

And yes, I don't care about lane assist, DAS, and blindspot intervention. A simple warning LED like Lexus has is better than the car steering for me.

Cooled seats along with a 6mt would be awesome.

It would look silly IMO, as if you're trying too hard. The integrated spoiler looks nice, I'd leave well enough alone.

For us, the occasion stepping on it to get that rush, a few tenths won't matter. I think the increased torque will have the greatest impact. I do realize 1/4 mile is a better measurement but again, in real life DD I think the 0-60 is more applicable.

Hypothetically if you happen to be out and about and are at a stop light and you get the urge to punch it and you are unaware the car next to you decides to do the same thing, in most cases you won't have a 1/4 mile to drive this way ..... hypothetically of course.

By now many members are probably, "will he shut-up already" so I will, last post on the discussion, thanks all for participating.
I don't think there is any disagreement. My point in the 1/4 mile is that the car with the faster 1/4 mile will generally be the faster drag car even if you don't use the entire 1/4 mile... Even in 1/8 mile. There is never a direct 1:1 science. But that is usually a better indicator than 0-60. And also to your point 2 tents- it's not noticeable in 90% of real world conditions. 2 tents in a quarter mile will be more noticeable in real world conditions at most speeds from which you floor the pedal than 2 tents 0-60..
So no argument - complete agreement.

I am indeed. I love that feature on the Sport. I am surprised not to see it on the Q60. The Q50S has it.
