Only way to do that is with an IPL and it better not only have design elements that are more aggressive but real performance enhancements as well.

I know a lot of Japanese car guys think negatively of German cars because they are not reliable, and they've got a point. So why do they still outsell Japanese cars? Well I've attended quite a few car events where there were mostly German car owners. They too talk about Japanese luxury cars, they think they're slow, boring to drive, and just glorified Toyota's, Nissan's and Honda's. But, you know the one Japanese car that EVERYONE likes? The GT-R, and that's because they respect the car, because it has tons of power, can put that power down, is a blast to drive and has a DCT. If Infiniti wants to be taken seriously, if they want German car owners to make the switch they better stop F'n around and get in the game!
I'd like to kno which German cars are fast pre BMW 335 and not m series , amg series, or Audi rs series? I coulda swore most BMW enthusiast were driving 318, 328s and 330 and I don't recall those making more than 250hp. Most making close to 230hp

That's a lot of cars. AMG's have been around a while & come in many classes. So have the M's. & S line Audi. Also have the SL500, etc.

+1

Even the 335i which is not an M car has been around now for 9 years.

M seems to be the standard around these parts. Had a 7 series that cost 8k in repairs for a 600$ job max...warranty company got the dry treatment.

Or is it meant to compete with the 435i, A5, C class coupe, ATS coupe, etc...if so, it'll have about 100hp more, but also probably cost more as well.
Competes with C450(soon to be renamed AMG C43), BMW M sport 340i, Audi S4, and Jaguar XE Sport. I really doesn't have the hardware to compete with the C63, RC-F, ATS-V and M.

We all know that the germans typically underrate their engines output so though the 340i is listed at 330hp its probably closer to 370hp

I wrote a long as post, then I got busy, came back and it logged me out when I tried to post. Was pissed so I didn't bother to rewrite it. But basically you said everything I said.

The Red Sports will have more HP and TQ than the S, AMG Sport, F Sport, V Sport, and M Sport but less than the RS, F, M, V, and AMG. If done right, it will be at the top of the Pact with out having to have an official IPL( or whatever they wanna call it) and they can get away with it for years to come.

If anything the red sport will help shorten the gap between the others mid line and top of the line.

I'm curious as to how well both red and silver sports will respond to mods.

I'm a little curious to see what's gonna happen to the V8 in the Q70. The new V6 almost makes that engine redundant. Less tq but almost as much power and way better gas mileage expected. Soon BMW will be the only car in its class with a V8 available.

Infiniti has generally produced the G with more HP on paper than most of its competitors in the segment (excluding the Halo versions). So having 400 HP comes as no surprise to me. It will be most interesting to see how that translates to performance on the road/ track.

I've owned both the Rear Drive and AWD coupes (current 2008+ Generation) and there is no awkwardness. Both look good to me. I'm a photographer and have taken pics of both. I believe the AWD is 1/2 an inch higher. Only thing slightly noticeable might be slightly extra gap in the fender with the tire. These cars were designed for AWD, far more drivable esp if bad weather.

The only thing for me is that a V8 always sounds better. I like the VQ engine note.. but the LS V8 sound in my GTO is far superior.. just saying..

More so than this...

IDK, I think some of you are just splitting hairs. I think you secretly love the car but are trying not to seem to excited! LoL
First of all that is not the current COUPE at the bottom, that is a 2010 or older. Current 2011+ has fog lights at bottom and different lip which looks nicer. The pictures are NOT at the same angle. Try getting one of the current coupe exactly head on. That said, I like the new coupe..I will get one down the road...Mine is a 2014 now...still have time... I think the old one, esp with IPL add ons looks better. The only thing I don't like is that weird angle where the new coupe looks just like a V6 Accord coupe... LOL! Not that the honda is bad... but...

I don't like what they did with the rear window the trim... AND.. why does everyone like to copy the LED Audi style headlights? Never cared for that.. Just saying.. Even the cheap Kia's copy it..
