Bone's G37

I have done my research.

I have looked into other models.

I have made my choice.

The choice is eminent. I will be purchasing a 2010+ G37. I'm in love with this car. Since the decision has been made, I figured I'd start this thread from the beginning... the hard part. I have to find just the right one.

These are my "must haves."
  • 2010-2013
  • Sport Model
  • Grey Exterior
  • Black Interior
  • Manual Trans
  • <40k Miles, preferably closer to 30k
  • No front tag bracket installed
Thus far, I'm having trouble with the color combo. The market is flooded with black on black.

I've also begun branching out into the IPL models. I haven't research them much, but I assume they are similar to the Sport model. Thoughts on the IPL?

Yes, I was thinking this was some sort of witchcraft I wasn't aware of.

List looks pretty close to what I wanted except manual. Drove too many manuals and down in SFL traffic sucks.

I would go with the newest one you could find with the lower miles. I know price may be a factor here. I didn't really look into IPL's due to premium price and the ugly front bumper. It's basically a Sport model that's been tweaked. I do like the wheels though.

Good luck. I'm sure there is one with your name on it.

It appears the IPL is lowered. Maybe?

Also to anyone who has a front license plate... is this something that can be removed or would it leave holes? Being able to increase my search to cars with front plate would give me more choices.

You can easily plug the 2 holes that will be left after removing the front plate bracket. It's easy and cheap to do and the end result doesn't look bad at all. It really just sort of looks like front parking sensors, it may even add horsepower lol This will open up many more car options for you.

Here is the DIY so you can look at the outcome.

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind if I can't find a sans-plate unit.

Got any more pics of your 1973 Volkswagen Kharmann Ghia?
Those are cool old VWs, my dad had a 74 Porsche 914 and someday I'd like to find one for a project.

Right now the Ghia is under a full body-off restoration. I do have a blog at 73Ghia.com. You'll have to excuse its informality, as originally my intention was to just a place to make notes and recall parts I removed.

BTW... the drop down menu in the garage has Karmann Ghia spelt wrong.
