New cat-back exhaust, new overlays, and exhaust tip question
Whats up fellas, hope you guys are all doing well. So lets do this in order here:
1. New Cat-back exhaust system (pics below)
I was scouring Craigslist, Ebay, and the classifieds here for a new cat-back exhaust. Eventually I found the Borla cat-back exhaust and y-pipe on Ebay, much cheaper than the popular exhaust systems on here. Cost was about $550 for the cat-back AND Y-pipe (sold separate). I ordered it, unboxed, and went to two different muffler shops, both saying they had to modify the exhaust to properly install it (tips were sitting too far back, one of the pipes was too close to the drive shaft, and a couple other things). I told them to hold off on it, I didn't want anything modified. I contacted the company and returned it, no problems there. Their customer service was great. The second muffler shop was Mikes Muffler in El Monte, CA. Mike is awesome, he's so smart and you can tell he enjoys what he does. He offered to build me a custom true dual cat-back exhaust system. The cost was about $480 out the door, and my ballin-on-budget-student lifestyle loved the price so I went ahead with it. He cut the OEM Y-pipe and used his own piping, stock size I believe, and routed it back Magnaflow mufflers with larger tips. I wasn't too crazy about when he said Magnaflow mufflers, but I said why not I've gone through a lot of trouble already, I want it over with. Overall, I LOVE IT. The new exhaust note is so much deeper and louder. At WOT, the exhaust is so aggressive. Drone kicks in at acceleration and anything cruising above 2200 RPMs. I have no problem with it, I think that little drone is awesome.

2. GT-R Style and Rear Valence Overlays
I ordered some overlays through Bluebatmobile. His customer service was great, immediate responses at all times of the day. I want to European Vision Autoworks in Reseda, CA and the had some trouble putting on the overlays. They were bubbling a lot and not sticking correctly. I don't know why that was, but he offered to just charge me only labor for custom ones that he would make for me. I was the first one they've done this for, and it turned out really nice. They did a great job making these from scratch. I have heard a lot of good things about bat's overlays, so this isn't to say anything bad about his operation. Anyways, her butt looks so good now. The car looks much much more aggressive.

3. Now, for my exhaust tips question. I've only had the exhaust on for a couple of weeks, and one of the tips has gotten noticeably duller than the other. I talked to some people and the consensus I've gotten is that there might be more pressure/heat coming from the left side. Here are some comparison shots. I've polished the $hit out of the left one and still nothing. Any ideas?
