yeah - that's why i wanted to see what the group thought.
I am not a "Black" fan (maybe the front grille) and I have silver wheels. I didn't want to fully de-badge, so I wanted to see what the red on red looked like.
I am going to gloss it this weekend, and maybe that will make it "Pop"

Thanks for the honesty =)

I have the carbon fiber trunk on my red G37 and I still have it badged, I debate debadging it all the time or even just leaving the infiniti symbol but I like showing off my S next to the G37, but what you did looks awesome, I think gloss would blend in too much with the car color, the matte looks nice

Looks good! I am pretty familiar with plastidip. It will NOT ruin your chrome. However, I suggest you dont wash the piece that the plastidip will be on for at least 4-5 days. You want to let it dry and settle before you wash it. Also, don't use strong liquids, that will eat away the plastidip!

I don't like the emblems being the same color as the body. I'd rather see them gone, personally.

The trunk finisher doesn't look bad though. I would love to see it complete with matching gloss.

I like the looks of the matte on the badges. I personally like debadging but the best part of your mod is the red lip spoiler. The chrome sticks out like a sore thumb but yours looks great. It would really pop with glossy clear coat.

What did you use to tape it up, just painters tape? It seems like the border of the trunk lip would be hard to tape off.
