Muffler Delete on a coupe

Hey guys, my friend got a muffler delete on his 2010 g37xs sedan and it sounds really good. I have a 2008 g37s coupe that I want to get the mufflers deleted. Just wondering if it will sound similar and if it will even sound good on a coupe? Please give feedback about drone as well!

If you can stand the drone then I would say it's worth it because the g37 stock exhaust note is sexy

Drone solution is to install the aam muffler deletes and a nismo 370Z Y and mid pipe. Just need to extend the mid pipe by 12 inches.

If he gets all of that he is going to spend more and go thru more trouble. he'd be better off getting a catback

I have $550 in this setup and about 2 hours of time. All depends on what sound the op wants and what their resources are.

sounds like a job for a local exhaust shop to fabricate and probably would still only be about 1/2 the price of buying an aftermarket exhaust

@those who say just buy an exhaust, maybe the OP doesn't want to alter the sound of his exhaust by going with aftermarket. Sometimes its not about ease or price - but getting what you actually want!

Just saw this in the private classified also:

https://www.myg37.com/forums/private...er-delete.html

$150 for the muffler delete axleback only

You definitely get drone. But you'll get used to it. When I first got my deletes, I felt like it was a tad bit loud and too drone-y for me. I ran it down a straight and never looked back. The sound is amazing. And btw, a lot of people do 2.25" muffler deletes. Get 2.5" piping and it'll literally be exactly like AAM short tails.
