Wink My G37s Custom Straight Pipes + Resonator Delete (Video Inside + setup )

Hello Everyone,
i posted a thread long time ago about my unsatisfactory g37s 2008 exhaust sound. As we all know, infiniti reduced the lovely noise from its exhausts when they upgraded to g37s up from g35. i looked for many solutions but i wasnt able to pay for after market exhausts as thet are pretty expensive.
so today i decided to try removing the resonator and instaling custom straight pipes. the sound is very nice now drone is deep and not extreme rattling. as for horespower. i can feel a bit of difference especially with take off. when closing the windows and at 120km/hr speed cruise, the sound is way low that wont bother you. when windows down and just roaming around, i got back the infiniti signature and roar which makes it more attracting. this is the first video am posting before and after. ill make sure to record one in the streets roaming around and accelerating. stay tuned another VIDEO is coming soon

PLUG UR EARPHONES

How did i install

first i removed the resonator which is this part

this part acts as a silencer which reduce the sound by almosy 80 to 90 %
( from my personal experience )

iam doing this at a garage its called Gulf Exhaust in Dubai
i told him that i dont want any cuts in my original pieces

now this pic explains

1 - is a small pipe piece nothing much just as connection

2 - is instead of the resonator, it also reduce the sound but in a good way other than that it is called straight pipe. the air inside doesnt need to circulate a lot like the resonator. it just pass thru, get reduced sound a bit and then send it to the NUMBER 3

3 - is the visible part of the exhaust. this one is an original infiniti FX35 exhaust cut from a broken fx35. this piece is original thus making it look like the original. in case i didnt like the sound i will be able to just remove the 2 pieces by removing the screws and just fixing back the resonator. (maybe if i wana sell the car oneday and the new owner doesnt want this sound or whateber

Guys, the sound is so attracking especially during acceleration and everyone on the streets will look at u..

Prices:

the number 3 part : is 125 dhs each so both for 250 dhs = 69 US $

the number 1 and 2 parts are 500 dhs = 137 US $

+ 70 $ for the Filipino pro guy who installed it

Total : 275$ US
Time taken : 3 hours

hopefully it helped

Leave me ur feedback plz open to any suggestions

Good work. Try having a friend film while you drive bye. Normal take off, fast take off, fast pass, slow, pass, etc. These engines really do sound good.

Doesn't sound too bad. I think I feel similarly to you...

I came from a G35 and was somewhat let down with the quieter exhaust in the G37s. I still like it, but want a bit more.

Please try and post a video with a couple of take offs and maybe one from inside the car while cruising.

Nice. I deleted the mufflers on my sedan too, had a local shop install some straight pipes in their place with the original tips welded on. Stock look with a way better sound
