Font License Plate factory tow-hook adapter?

The seller of my car can't find this adapter, so I was going to try a dealership to see if they have one. Odd thing is that I can't find a factory one online anywhere, not even a picture. I have found some aftermarket ones, but they are about $85.

Does anyone have this? There has never been license plate holes drilled into my front bumper and I want to keep it that way.

This is the aftermarket one. The previous owner said that his was just a bar and a little single screw hole for the plate, not a full plate backing like this.

STILLEN Front License Plate Bracket 105465 - INFINITI G37 Coupe & Sedan

Also, this is the 37x coupe, 2009. My front bumper looks like the attached image. The tow hook mount is just behind the black grill insert on the passenger side.

If you're looking for a bracket that allows you to mount your license plate via a tow hook socket, Stillen is the place to get it.

Not sure what you mean by adapter. It is a full kit that screws into your car and holds your license plate. It does not attach to the OEM tow hook. You'd need to remove the OEM towhook to use the Stillen relocated and vice versa.

There is nothing in the tow hook hole right now, it's just the empty threaded socket.

The previous owner said he had a "rod" that screwed into the tow hook socket, and had a little bar that went across and you screwed just the top-left part of the license plate it, it wasn't a full backing like the Stillen one. He said it was just 1 little bar that stuck off the rod you only had 1 screw to use.

Is this not a OEM part? He said it was what came with the car, and he bought it brand new. Or is he confused and I need to get the Stillen aftermarket one?

The car does not come with any kind of license plate relocator from the factory, any two hook bracket is aftermarket afaik.

The Stillen kit is pretty cheap and I will be getting mine soon

After some thought, it may have just been an option his dealership had available, but I think that is an exception rather than a rule

RHO Plate is less expensive than stillen, offers angle adjustment and 15 mounting positions. I had one on my RX8, Fit, and MX5, and was very happy with it.

Just go look at stillen they have what you need. The factory hook is the tow hook and that is usually in the trunk unless the past owner used it and lost it

Tow hook adapter is in the trunk in the package (under the mat) containing your jack accessories. Looks like a large eye hook.
