The government tells us all this security is for our own protection. Each loss of some privacy entity is another step towards more government control and loss of freedoms.

All this talk about tracking and being tracked. With Facebook and Twitter and other forms of social media, you wouldn't even need the capability of what the government has to find out any hidden or not hidden piece of information that anyone else has. People are freely putting it out there. Everyone needs to realize that the only private space we have is what we do in our homes. On any given day, you have that privacy. When you update your status, send out a tweet, check your email, or any numerous things in this world, you are consciously putting yourself out there. The only way around it is to move to a completely isolated space and not make contact with anyone. Like what BB said, I'm not interesting enough for the government to watch my activities. If I was, I wouldn't be on an internet forum discussing my privacy.
