Free Car washes. ..only at your purchase dealership...or any???
I asked my sales rep if I were across town could I stop in thier service shop and get a car wash...he indicated that they would deny me if I have his dealer's plate frames/name on the car.
Thoughts and experiences???

Seems about right if you bought somewhere else. Why would I do work for free when you bought somewhere else and let some other rep make a check?
But if you had service done, then of course we gonna wash your car.
Just my .02!

I would be happy if the dealer denied me for a car wash. You're not missing out on anything special, other than the dealer putting swirls on your car. Many members here go as far as putting signs on their car stating "do not wash" specifically for dealerships.

Lexus =/= higher status than Infiniti
I've never heard of anyone stopping at a dealer just for a car wash.
Besides, like everyone said, if you want swirls in your paint, then have at it.

Agreed. I learned the hard way. After my car being returned with still dirty wheels and water spots everywhere, you'd think that would've been enough of a warning. Unfortunately it wasn't until some scratches on my hood from the "soft cloth brushes" and on my wheels later from guide rail that I learned my lesson. Hand washes only ever since...

bang your head all you want but the sales person offered it as something Infiniti does. ...

Do not ever let a dealer wash your car, best case you get swirls. Worst case, you get paint etching (especially on your wheels) from letting harsh chemicals sit for too long.
Also, and this holds true for virtually every car brand out there, dealers are privately owned and operated. Extra services such as complementary washes are pretty much entirely up to dealer discretion. Some dealerships are generous, others less so. It honestly varies between dealerships far more than between brands (at least brands in roughly the same price category).
