What comes after your G37 Coupe?

Hello everyone. Shortly I will be purchasing a G37 Coupe, pre-owned. Plan to spend around $26K cash.

Like everything else, I always do my homework and research before making a major decision.

What I want to be sure of, is I'm buying the "best" possible car for the money.

Japanese (Toyota/Nissan/Honda) reliability --- check
Fast (fast enough) --- check
Good looking --- check

So, my question for everyone is, If you had to do it over again, would you have purchased a different vehicle?
Lexus, Subaru, Mitsu Evo?

I was looking at Lexus IS350 but I don't really want/need a 4 door sedan. Also the car has been described as tame and unexciting to drive etc. (although fast 0-60)

I also considered the 370Z, but it seems like it would be too small, and no back seat. Also, I prefer the luxury and creature comforts of the G37.

My other question is, what are you looking at possibly purchasing when you get rid of the G37?

I also briefly looked at BMW and Porsche, but I don't want to spend a small fortune on repairs/maintenance/upkeep. So that's off the table.

The only other car I would consider would be the Evo but if I had to do it again I would definitely pick the G.
I much better like the luxury and looks of the G37 over the Evo.....my next car would be Q60

Yeah, Evos are pretty cool. Would be a fun car to drive/own, especially for autoX. Doesn't really do much for me in the looks department though.

And I think I would spend an enormous amount of time, energy and money if I had an Evo or Sti.

And by Q60, do you mean the redesigned coupe that's supposed to come out in 2015? The new Q50 sedan is pretty hot though.

Beautiful car. Parked next to one at work the other day. Love Porsche. Just don't have the budget right now to afford a newer, low mileage one.

Same here. Wish Lexus came out with an IS Coupe when the IS350 sedan came out. (not the convertible coupe)

Looking forward to the 2015 IS-F. Not that I will be able to afford it lol.

i've been thinking of the IS-F, but the more and more i think about it, the more i realize that the wife has the grocery getter and i want something fun. so i think maybe i'll be doing a rocket bunny project. it's looks like it could be a lot of fun.

Still possibly considering the 370Z. Would of course go with the 6MT, since its a true sports car. Just can't get over the smallness and no back seat part. Not like I ever have more than one passenger in my car. But I know as soon as I get a 2 seater, it would become an issue.

If I go G37 coupe, which at this point I am, I am going with the 7AT. Don't really feel like rowing through the gears everyday during my commute to and from work.

I just had an IS250 AWD (i know - not a 350). I think i would have been happier with an IS350 AWD because the IS250 was lacking power, but i've found that i keep coming back to Infiniti. My IS250 was certified -Thankfully! - it was in the dealer more times than any other car i had. It also had a carbon build up issue where they had to take the whole engine out/apart, and they replaced my exhaust due to leaks - maybe i just got a bad one but i just didnt feel the reliability was there - And it only had 50k miles on it.

Needless to say after the G37 i will go to the Q50 or Q60.

-I would say yes! I would go with the 370Z because I have the G37 coupe and I never use the back seats so sometimes I think about what it would be like to have that extra oomph with the 370Z

My other question is, what are you looking at possibly purchasing when you get rid of the G37?
-Well I don't think I will get rid of my G but maybe my next car would be an M3 and if I go big I'd get the GT-R!

On my 2nd G coupe, loved them both. Lease up in march, I'm undecided at his point but 2 choices are Cayman S and another G coupe. My dealer just started putting Stillen everything on the coupes and they look great out of the box.

Thats a shame. You would never expect that from a Lexus. I think I recall reading about engine and other problems on the IS in the short time I was checking out the IS forums.

Unfortunately I don't think Infiniti is coming out with a new redesigned coupe for a year or 2. At least I have seen anything definite yet.
