2012 and up Jaguar XF. Jag's are some of the most beautiful cars on the road today. It's rare to have an entire lineup of a car company that is just drop dead gorgeous.

Might want to get a Camry too so you have something to drive while the Jag is in the shop. They have always been beautiful but .......

Reliability ratings are much better now. I can't see it being any worse than a Bimmer/Mercedes

Wouldn't buy either of those either .... why buy an expensive car that you KNOW is going to give you headaches. Unless you just lease for a year or two or have cash to burn. Take the depreciation hit and sell after a year or two.

Don't get me wrong, all these cars appeal greatly to me. I'm making assumptions that most of us consider our G's daily drivers so I assume our "what's next cars" are going to be DD as well. I'm striving for a Granturismo myself and I know it will be a headache to own but it won't be a DD and the sexiness of this car is so worth it ... so who am I to say :-)

Well, I wouldn't know for sure if it would give me problems just like any car could. I would hope, like all car owners would, that it wouldn't give my any problems. Even reliable cars can be unreliable. But yeah, I hear what you're saying man.

Locally, 2012's have been going for high 30k to low 40k with less than 10k miles well equipped. I suspect demand is low and sales are lackluster so I could prob knock off a few thousand from that. But, I do only have a few thousand left on my payments for my G so I'll probably enjoy being car payment free for at least another year or so.

And yes, a backup Toyota would be nice to have

So I have to admit, I ADORE my car. At this point I fi cant fix her properly I will replace her otherwise.. If I was to buy another car I wouldn't mind another g37 or a gtr (but thats a bit out of my price range)

My husband had fallen in love with the wrx and the rx8.. well after driving both then my little girl he is looking at picking one up..

My only stipulation is he isnt allowed to have the faster car.

I'm leaning toward the new F-Type Coupe too. The price jump from the G is a bit steep however.

Really thinking hard on the Q60 IPL. Then again I do lust after the Audi S5 or A7. Who am I kidding though? I would never buy a brand new car but....... A year or 2 old is good enough for me. The F type is a beautiful car, but alas I have heard of the mechanical woes of Jag's.

In the way of spending smart money on a used car... have you ever followed reviews from EverydayDriver? Love their clip on the Cayman S, and the way they present it as the perfect used car between $30 and $40k.

Yeah, I read a lot of stuff by warren buffet and other billionaires and the thing they ALL say is that buying a new vehicle is the worst investment of money. As we all know our cars (no matter what kind) depreciate astronomically the second your name is put on record as the owner. Hey, by the way.... Whats the difference between a porcuipine and a porche? The ****** are on the outside of the porcuipine.

Sometimes, having nice things isn't about the practicality.

Iam kinda feeling the chevy ss. 6.2 liter... front engine rear drive 4 door laying down 360 hp and 367 trq. Nice little sleeper. Add a supercharger and it should lay down over 600 of each pretty easily. Sleeper mode activate.
Base line dyno at Hennessy... wonder what theirs will lay down when its done.

Right now I'm ALL about a G37 coupe 11 or 12.
I'm just waiting to find the one I want
BUT
If this was 2015
I might be really looking at the RC 350

More to a car than numbers .... not too many American cars get me excited, frankly just the Vet maybe but if I were spending that kind of money it would be at the bottom of the list.
