Sport package.. anyone regret not getting it?

I can see that in a sedan, but to me the coupe just screams for the sport stuff (I'm assuming 43 is your age; I'm 57...)

The sport package is beautiful but its nothing other than looks. If anything, the Base model G37 sedan is faster than all the other models. They all have the EXACT same engine and the BASE G37 is faster than the G37S.

you will anyway
You will spend that money anyway. It just makes it so you dont have to go with a big brake kit and you get a LSD. Go sport
Yeah if I didn't get the sport, I would end up spending thousands swapping out wheeels/front end etc etc. I have seen a few pics of g coupes with the orange strip on the headlights replaced with clear. Would I have to buy a whole new headlight unit or is that a decently easy fix?

The big Akebono brakes, better suspension, VLSD, close ratio steering rack, better seats, better wheels and tires and exterior/interior appointments on the Sport model make it a value at what Infiniti is charging for the combined package. It would cost you a fortune to upgrade all of these items at a later date through modding.

Probably because it weighs a few pounds less, but the better brakes and suspension mean the S has more usable speed...

Most people don't care for the 'sports suspension' some people want to change the suspension on the S model. The brakes are the only good thing on the sports package though. I wish they would offer a REAL sports package with more hp and different body kit. (IPL model should be the S model) and the IPL should have twin turbo or something... imo.

I get what you are saying about the suspension; I'm happy with it because it's a decent compromise between comfort & performance. If I wanted a *****-out sports car I'd probably get another Lotus.
More HP would be fine, too; hell, Maserati is able to squeeze >400 ponies out of a V6...
