I tried today only to find out that there was a wire connected to the underside of the radiator cover, is it just this model? Or could I have removed the wire some how???

I removed the front grill on my JDM and there were waaaaay more cables and bits of plastic in the way than are shown in the DIY's. I dont know if the USDM has this but on the JDM we have a front impact bonnet lifting thing. Basically if you hit something front on, ie. a pedestrian, then the bonnet shoots up at the back towards the windscreen, creating a sort of ramp. I guess that its meant to cause less damage to the people that I run over.

Anyway, long story short, I think that the sensor for this is bolted and wired up to the grill bracket. So basically i had to pull that off before I could remove the grill.
