G37 Year to year changes. Change log
Hi guys I've searched the forum and goggled and found some info i wanted to share but also wanted to confirm any current owners of 2010 having Advanced Climate Control System (ACCS)? Also i do not see DAC Burr Brown to be deleted after 2009 but it could have been quite change for infiniti. Can anyone confirm that change also for 2010.
Any auto transmission issues in any of the years? What is best year to have to avoid repairs? Any recall issues in any of the years?
Infiniti G37 Coupe
Released in 2008 as a replacement for the G35, a redesigned coupe hit the dealerships floors. The heart of the new G37 Coupe is an upgraded 330hp 3.7 litre V6, based on the 14-year consecutibe winner of Wards "10-best Engines". Transmission options vary from a base 5sp automatic with manual mode (paddle shifters added to Journey packages with Sport option) to the 6sp manually-equipped Sport 6MT. The G37 Coupe also includes an extensive list of available technology features, including a touch screen navigation system with XM NavTraffic Real-Time Traffic information, RearView Monitor, an available 11-speaker Infiniti "Studio on Wheels" by Bose audio system with 24-bit Burr Brown DAC, 3-way door speaker arrays with 10-inch woofers and a 9.3GB Music Box Hard Drive, and Infiniti’s Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) with Preview Braking.
In 2009 the Infiniti G37 Coupe was expanded with the addition of a new AWD model utililizing the advanced ATESSA E-TS all-wheel drive system. Further enhancements included replacing the previous years 5sp automatic transmission with a new 7sp variation.
For 2010, the G37 Coupe’s enhancements are primarily based upon interior refinements with new trim and appointments being available along with a new center console design for automatic-equipped models and a standard 8-way power passenger seat. NavWeather is added as a XM subscription option along with Zagat Restaurant Guide for Navigation and streaming audio via Bluetooth. Intelligent Cruise Control option is replaced within the Technology package with a new Advanced Climate Control System (ACCS) with Plasmacluster air purifier. The RearView Monitor was also made standard on most models.
2011 models received new front fascia, Sport Package option for AWD, standard navigation with Sport 6MT, revised 18-inch and 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheel designs; the addition of Scratch Shield Paint as standard on all models; and two new exterior colors: Malbec Black and Lapis Blue.
2012 receives no major refinements
2008 through 2014 Infiniti G37 Coupe support, information, specifications, maintenance, overview, review, articles and gallery pages

09 had scratch shield. 10 didn't have it, 11 brought it back.
08-09 had washi alu trim, 10+ has shodo
2010+ automatics have revised trim over tranny tunnel
2009+ has dials for heated seats instead of switch
2010+ got rid of CF slot (which only came with Nav) but added USB port

Don't mean to bring a thread back from the dead, but I can't find an updated list of year-to-year changes up through the Q60 and I can't justify starting a new thread when the question has already been asked before. I'm looking to move from my 2010 G37x coupe to a Q60S AWD, and I'm trying to avoid making the same mistakes I made when originally buying my 2010 (not realizing there was an "S" package, not realizing 2011 had updated bumper, etc). So my question is: are there any significant changes over the years? Is there a reason for me to buy a 2015 rather than a 2014? Any input/updates would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Good info here. Depending on how the new turbo Q60 goes, I'll either grab one of those or swap into a 2013 AWD G Sedan. I've always loved the G cars and now that I have one I'm getting even more picky and want all the newer options that came out over the years.

Anything after 2011 didnt experience significant changes. And one might be hard-pressed to call the changes from 2008 to 2011 significant.
The only real common issue was in model years prior to 2012 where many report the rear timing cover gasket experienced leaks. Infiniti updated that gasket to a metal gasket in 2010 plus years.
Aside from that - a G37 is a G37 is a G37 .. barring trim level / options, year to year facelifts (really only 1 facelift) etc
