Yes, completely normal. There is a rev limiter, so nothing to worry about.

Here is a search result:

"Revving the engine that high with no load is a no no. That rev limiter is an idiot lockout to keep people from red lining it without a load and damaging it........ "

The dealer is offering me bumper to bumper warranty for 4yrs/100k miles for 2500. Is it worth it? The warranty will void for a part if I mod it. For example, if I get a exhaust for my G, the exhaust warranty will be voided. (I will be modding my car). Currently, the car has powertrain warranty from Infiniti until April 2014 or 70k miles

I guess you really need to be asking yourself is how soon are you going to be modding you car? If its gonna be before April 14th then theres no reason for you to get the bumper to bumper warranty.

However if your gonna be taking your time to pay off your car before you begin modding it then it might be a good investment to get the new warranty just so you can cover your *** in case something random comes up.

hope that helps you

I guess it goes without saying but.....I'll say it anyways whatever you do just make sure you get all the warranty details.
When I purchased my G the dealer offered me the extended warranty and didnt take it; later I found out that the warranty they offered was a third-party warranty and not an Infiniti warranty. I ended up getting the Infiniti warranty for a much lower price than what the dealer had offered me.

Price seems a little over priced for a "corrected title". I've seen clean title ones with slightly less mileage for a 22-23k at the dealerships.

There is more to the title correction than just a name change. It also covers odometer discrepancies, VIN discrepancies, state transfer info challenges (such as salvage title removal), etc.

The dealer telling you it was simply a name change on the pink is the same as someone saying a car received a salvage title from a minor scratch on the fender. Find a newer car w/ less mileage, at the same or better price.

Get a pre-purchase inspection at an Infiniti dealer for peace of mind.

Just for input measures; I bought an 08 Sport, 6MT with 47k this past Feb for $23,000. Car is in fantastic condition inside and out, has a flawless record and drives flawlessly as well.
