What if...
What if the new Qclass whether it be sedan or coupe doesnt have 6mt or any mt for that matter?? Will you 6mt guys stay or will you go wherever the stick takes you lol How does everyone feel about this??

at this point no MT is a deal breaker. i know i'm likely in the minority, but there it is. 6MT is what drew me to the G-line in the first place (i had a G35 6MT as well). if the '15 or '16 model year Q has no MT (which is when i might be in the market), i will be forced to look elsewhere.
now, if other competitors drop their MT models that changes things. i would then compare my options, including the Q based on their equal merits. but i imagine BMW will hang on to their MT since they are "the ultimate driving machine" - and you can't have an ultimate driving machine without MT. that just doesn't make sense in my books. Audi might still have an MT, and the Caddy might even be a viable alternative by then. not sure who else is in the running. not Acura with their front-heavy drivetrain, even moreso than Audi.

Over 90% of buyers in North America drive an automatic so for the vast majority of buyers it's a complete non issue. For the small percentage who do drive a 6MT, it'll be a big deal for some and not so much for others. The forum is not anywhere near an accurate cross section of Infiniti's buyers so any information form this forum is vastly skewed. The ones who will post about it and be the most vocal are only the ones pissed if there's no manual transmission. The people who it's not really a big deal to generally don't go no about it so much.
Personally I own both a 6MT coupe and sedan. If the Q50 impresses me then I'm likely to replace the current sedan in a year or two with a AT Q50 hybrid. As far as the coupe, I'm about to dump money into it to go forced induction so my plan is to keep it long term. If the Q60 doesn't have a MT option it might not necessarily be a deal breaker. I'd have to try it to see. I'm not so married to the old MT experience that I wouldn't even consider anything else before experiencing it. If I were impressed with an AT Q60 I'd buy it.
And there is no "Q class" - they all have a Q in their name. That's like saying the BMW BMW.

If there was no longer going to be a 6mt id be pretty upset...But a dual clutch tranny would make up for it

Seems like some mfg's always have a manual version of their car.
Bmw, vw, mazda, chevy, ford. While some of these are not in the same category and class as the G37, the fact that these mainstream (if you can call vw and mazda that), continue to make mt cars means there is a sufficient market.
The other thing to consider is that it's unlikely the 370z will not be offered with a mt. So chances are, the G50 will get whatever mt is offered in the new 370z. Supposedly a redesign is due in 2015 --- we'll see.

People keep saying that and I guess they are not keeping up with the automotive world and marketplace trends in general. Who ever thought there'd be no more gated manual shifting Ferraris? Ever think that in a million years the Porsche 911 would not offer a stick shift? There will probably always be some manufacturer who will still make stick shift cars, but they're becoming fewer and far between. Choices will be getting slimmer all the time. For drivers to whom that's the single most important factor in choosing a car, they'll just have a get used to the fact that there's lot fewer options to choose from than there used to be.
