Who has left their G37 Coupe? What did you buy next and why?
I figured many of us who own or have owned the G37 coupe have more or less, similar reasons for owning such a car. I am leasing a 2011 IPL but am looking to cut the lease short and get something else. For me, it just seemed to be the best bang for buck luxury sports coupe. Decent power, most features standard, good looking and does a decent job of being comfortable and mildly fun to drive.
However my attention span is short lived and im looking to try something new. The Germans have my attention with the S5 and upcoming M4. But I am really lost about what to get next if I can sell the IPL.
I wanted to know, for those of you who have owned then sold a G37 Coupe, what did you buy next? And why? Also, what do you regret most about the new purchase? I'm all over the spectrum thinking about everything from modding the crap out of a genesis to M series. Just want to see what others have done.

I've been eyeing the M4 since news first came out. I can't wait for it to be released so I know to make the switch to that or find a used e92 M3 loll
The S5 was one of my favorites, too, but I can't get over the new headlights yet... (personal preference of the older, full headlights) so it's not really on my list anymore.
As for people leaving the forum, you should go ask this question in "The Lounge (Off Topic) > Other Cars" section. Seems like people who switched to other cars come back to post there.

Made the switch, Infiniti as a brand is solid.
However same exact engine/trans was a deal breaker.
Ended up with an evo, dealerships are horrible, but I don't plan on using them.
Overall the car had a really good mix of power & handling.
Interior is no where near refined as Infiniti, but I bought it on how it drove.
The car itself uses mondern technology.
Plus I couldn't say no it put a huge smile on my face when I drove it.

i also made the switch but stayed within the VQ family
i decided to trade in my G37s for a 370Z w/sport
the Z had a completely different feel compared to the G
the power and handling is a beautiful mix, plus the S-mode
is a great addition the interior is alright and comfortable no leather but i can live with that ... the car put a huge on my face when i first drove the Z so no regrets here

I still have my '11 coupe, but last year I ordered and picked up in Stuttgart a loaded C63 coupe. I got the C for the same reasons as the G; I like having a modest coupe as my daily, I liked the looks, the sound, the whole package.
The only thing I don't like is the number of wing-nuts it attracts. I always felt people drove more "aggressive" around me while in the G. I figured that it would be less in the C; either people wouldn't know what it was and would leave me be, or if they did know what the 6.3 meant that they wouldn't bother. Well, if I attempt to drive mellow, every xD, Corolla, Prius, Fiat, etc. will ride my bumper from each light (I believe they're thinking they can accelerate as fast as an AMG). Everyone else peels out from the stop light and, in their mind, turns on the proverbial "hazards". This doesn't happen (except for the handful of nincompoops that does it to everyone) in any of our "non-sporty" cars. While in the C63 9 out of 10 drivers act mentally challenged around me.

The Evo and 370 are natural options from the G I suppose. I've had the 370 as well. It was a very fun car but lacked refinement I suppose, so I ended up going with the G37 afterwards. Havent owned an EVO yet though. Have thought about building one up as aftermarket support is basically limitless for those cars.
Interesting experience with your C63. My guess is that the people who are lingering around you while driving, likely want to "See it go" so they can be amazed. I used to have a flashy 500hp 240sx. I would get mini-vans, civics, jeeps ect etc pull up next to me on they highway. All they want is to hear, and see the thing go. Make-em happy.
As for the E92 M3 I was very close to buying one late last year. However for it being a daily, I just couldn't justify the horrible gas mileage those things get. There is no reason that motor has to get 14mpg. Audi has 4.2L V8's with similar power and get 30+mpg. Also, the ultra low-tq figure was a bit of a turn off. They handle like a dream though.

Looks like you got a pretty good deal on the IPL. One thing that makes me mad about the IPL is the resale value. You'll take a MUCH bigger hit on an IPL model than a base, S or X model. MSRP of the IPL is too high. I'm having a rough time trading the car in here in Minnesota.

Hey, I just sold my G37 to purchase a M3 coupe. It just arrived from Germany and is in New Jersey so I should be getting it sometime this week. I really wanted to scoop up what is to be maybe the last of the NA breed of M's.. As for the Infiniti, the G37 is a good car overall, has a good balance of luxury and sportiness. But for me, it was lacking a bit in the sporty department. Within its price range though, I dont know if there's anything much better overall. But I think its hefty weight overall keeps it from being what it really could, and should be imo.

Was under consideration, but I NEED a back seat even if its tiny.
Z4 with a tune is a nice ride.
A friend bought a 135m did a intake & tune what a little beast.
Although I don't care for the 1 series.
BMW has alot of nice choices if you got the $ why not.

Yea I am really feeling the new BMW's. I am glad they FINALLY changed the design of their interior. The new models look much more attractive. The nice thing about the 135 and 335 cars is the engine. The engines are way under tuned from the factory. Its just a ECU flash away from another 60-120hp. Intake, exhaust and flash, people are seeing like 450hp. The TQ figures are healthy too. The new M3/M4 is supposed to have the TT inline 6. Cant wait to see it in person.
