Good choice! I think you would probably end up regretting it if you didn't just go for it.

I think you're right and that's the same thing my wife says. I'm worried that every time I saw an S model on the road I'd be thinking, "I shoulda gone with a Sport."

I've been told it's like a whole different car with the sport package, but to be honest I never even test drove one without it.

^^It is. I test drove a 37x coupe and a 37s 6mt (also a coupe). We didn't make it more than 1/2 mile from the dealership before I made a uturn and told the sales person any further test drive would be pointless.

I ordered the sedan based on what the coupe drove like. I knew the sedan would be a bit different because of the 18" wheels (coupe comes with 19"), and also slightly longer wheelbase. The non S car just felt way too soft and unresponsive (handling wise).

Sport

Picked up a 2013 Sport 6MT about 3 weeks ago. I absolutely love it. I drove it from California to Connecticut. It's a great car. I did get the seat bolsters removed because they kind of dug into my thighs, but the air bolsters are still there. You only go around once.

I just purchased an S model, and it really isn't very stiff. To be honest I wouldn't want any softer. But I came from a Honda s2000 as my daily driver (think gokart). In addition, the looks alone are worth the upgrade. The bigger wheels and brakes look really nice! Plus I wanted a 6mt which I don't think is available in the journey

I have a Sport and I am glad I got it instead of the Journey. The Journey is way too common now a days... Sometimes I just sit there and stare at the Akebono brakes for a good minute or so. Just fills up the wheel so well!

Pulled the trigger!

Well, thanks to all the helpful advice I received on here, I went ahead and did it. Picked up my 2013 G37S Coupe in Moolight White and Stone interior w/Prem/Nav/Illuminated kick plates and the carpeted trunk mat/first aid kit package.

This is the only pic I've got for now but I'll get some better ones and post them. Thanks again everyone, I'm seriously in love with this car already and SOOOO glad I went with the Sport!

Good color choice! Same as mine except for the black interior, plus I got lucky and got a '12 before they discontinued music box.

Congrats! Nice color! Good thing you went with the S.

I went from an IP '08 Journey (mushy handling) to a VB '11 xS (nice, sporty handling).

Congratulations! Btw, Moonlight White is the fastest color...haha. It's always nice to see that this forum is a resource for people to get helpful information. You took our advice and followed through. It's great to see a pic of the final outcome!
