Squeaking when driving
#17
The BBK is set up differently based on the pic you posted. The retaining pins do not move at all, so they don't have anything to do with the braking power of the car. They just act to hold everything in place so the pads don't fly out. Maybe it has something to do with my brake fluid since I haven't changed it since I got the car (only have had it for 1.5 yrs). I'll be bleeding the fluid when I do all four corners Thanks for the suggestion though.

Yes, this is exactly what was making noise. Went I took out the pad to inspect and reinstalled it, it's not making noise any more. In any case, I've got new pads and slotted rotors coming next week. I'm bleeding the lines too, way overdue for that. Also thought about getting SS brake lines but...

Yeah, sorry man, I realized that after I posted, which is why I went back for the edit. If you do have any parts that were greased before, you could try greasing them up again in hopes that will help. My guess is that it's not the brake fluid though, but it could be worth a shot to change it. The only way I'd think you could have one pad biting harder than the other would be a clog in the line, just after the fluid reaches the pad (thus, when you brake, that particular pad doesn't release from the rotor). I'm not even sure that'd be possible with how the calipers are made though, but I'm still learning myself -- this one just piqued my curiosity. Good luck man, let me know what you find!
