factory scissor jack might crack ipl side skirt?

So I've installed the IPL side skirts a while ago and today when I was trying to jack up the car using the factory scissor jack, I noticed that the jack touches the side skirt (on the jack point on pinch weld). As I crank the scissor jack I can see that the side skirt part that's touching starts to bend. If i jacked up the car all the way, It's most likely going to crack the side skirt right? Anyone else have this problem? I've attached an image to show what I'm talking aboot.

I noticed the same thing happens when I have my car put up on a lift... It makes me cringe a little to see it bend that way.

I use hockey pucks with a slit in the middle to fit between the pinch welds. That is, I cut a puck in half, then screwed it onto another puck with ~1/4" gap between. Lowing the car onto jack stands, the outside puck half does make contact with what's pictured above, but I see no deformation. I believe the bulk of the weight is on the inside half (puck half closer to the center line of the car).

It sounds like you don't use the factory scissor jack when you're attaching the pucks? I'm just thinking of a situation if I get a flat on the streets somewhere. At home I'll try using that puck method, I see that a lot of people do that or a variation of it. Thanks for the advice!

I used a regular jack once when switching from summer to winter rims and i bent all the pinch welds. any advice to get it back to normal. I didn't think of the puck thing but will be doing that from now on
