Red face Infiniti G37 a status seeking, showoff car??

Is the G37 ( I am considering the G37 Sport M/T) a status seeking, attention getting car??
Do you owners like to get attention with it, and show your car off? Do you like it for status it gives you?

I ask this because I am a low key guy. I don't want any extra attention at all. I like the car because it is a nice car , fast, and very comfortable.
I read sometimes, with the G, people say , "you will like driving the G to the club, or the ladies will love your lights on your G"
I don't care nothing about this type of thing, and prefer to go unnoticed. I don't know if the G fits my personality. I don't think I am better than anybody else.
Is the G wrong for me?

I didn't say I didn't like nice cars. I currently have a 07 Honda Civic Si coupe modified and tuned 6 speed. Midnight Black, very quick.

That's the beauty of these cars, you can make it something that stands out and pops in a crowd OR you can have it be low key and "stealthy".

I think you will be fine, if you enjoy it buy it. People looking for status will be a german car, those looking for attention will be a V8, those looking for fun and a great price and is appealing to the senses will enjoy the G37.

Hope that helps...

Thanks Pgviper, you gave me some good thoughts on it. As you can guess, I am low key (stealth)

Honestly it depends on where you live, what other people drive, where you like to go. I see G's everywhere in my neighborhood, driving to work, at the places I like to visit, so no it doesn't feel flashy and like a show off car. If I drive it into a small town where most people drive old pick up trucks, then it really sticks out like a sore thumb.

Just don't put a super loud exhaust, neon paint, etc... on it and the car can be very stealth.

How can you be on the down low with a modded Honda?

Am I missing something here? A G sedan is very low profile if you don't mod it out.

Are you suggesting that G drivers think they are "better than everybody else"? The G is not a particularly flashy car. On top of that, you can pick one up these days for about $19,000. Your concerns are a bit inflated. It's not an exotic and girls will not be dropping their panties for you. If you like the car, get one. If not, don't.

IMHO, the BMW 335 XI that I was looking at along with the G37X is more of a "status symbol". I like the G a lot as it is sharp looking, handles well and turns head a bit more than the 02 Honda Accord sedan I drove for the last 11 years.

You want to blend in and not be noticed, I'll sell you my Accord.

keep the civic, you're looking for an excuse not to get a G with your posts in this forum. if you dont want attention go buy a camry, accord, or corolla. most cars stock dont stand out unless they are brand new models or super expensive for the area you are driving in. but this is all common sense to most people. if you are truly buying a new house in the near future why would you even consider changing your ride before you know what your finances will be at?

This is an incredibly silly thread. It's a nice car but it's not an exotic. It's an entry level luxury Grand Touring car.

Attention, status, showing off, impressing women or anything of the kind have to do more with your own perception and how you comport yourself than the vehicle. It's not an Enzo or a Koenigsegg so unless your name is Justin Bieber you don't have to stress out about the throngs of paparazzi hounding everywhere you drive since you're trying to keep a low profile. Don't mod it with loud or tacky attention grabbing mods and you'll be fine.

You're not Bieber are you?

Definitely not going to attract the attention of something like a Masseratti or something else on that level. People will notice that it is a nice car and you might get a few gawking at it from time to time, but overall you'll blend right in with the rest of the traffic unless you mod it out.
