I'm in the Virgin Islands and there's only a Nissan dealership here and they won't touch it because they're not authorized to" but if i went with a Nissan 370gt (which is the japanese g37) they wouldve done it (bull****).

Re

I bought the key on ebay for ~$8 and had it cut for $2. Programmed the fob at the dealer for about ~$120.

The key doesn't fit inside the fob quite right, but it fits.

Infiniti of Montclair

I called Infiniti of Montclair (So Cal) and they said it was $120 each. I bought 2 intelligent keys for $90 on Ebay.

We bought our G used from a Nissan dealership, it only had one key. They ordered a new one and programmed it so Nissan can do it.

Realize this question is older but had not notice it before. I went to Infiniti of Peoria off of Bell rd and like 99th ave.

Not sure if he is still there but my service rep was Josh.

Dreyer and Reinbold in Indy charges 240 and won't program any other key but their own.

They're pretty useless when it comes to dealers and willingness to work with the customer. I've practically wanted to give them money in the past, but wanted to provide my own fluids (brake bleeding) and an oil change (I prefer my Penz Ultra oil ..and I like the keep the changes on record since I'm under warranty).

The former Butler Nissan, now Ed Martin Nissan (a lot of the same staff and one really stellar master tech who is a former D&R employee) in Fishers is really the place to go for fair rates and a staff that wants to work with you (they're fine with you bringing oem equivalent parts and fluids in).

Outside of a TSB covered under warranty to reflash the TCM/ECU (which they wanted to charge for initially, but I mentioned it was a TSB and that my car was under Elite Warranty coverage as well as the initial 3yr/36k at that point-- shouldn't they be the ones telling me and not the other way around?)-- I've yet to step foot back in there and only would for any future warranty work. Unfortunately, we're small potatoes in the grand scheme of the D&R family, it's not like we're driving around one of their new 7-series or a Maserati's although it would be nice if they treated all potential customers equally.

Sorry to throw this dug up thread off-topic...but just in case someone is searching this dealer of Indianapolis, then they'll come across this 2cents for what they're worth.

Yeah I go into EM for everything 50% off D&R prices. Plus they don't act like a bunch of douches when they talk to you. The DR service guy was helpful but after I found out they wanted ~$145 for a cabin filter I choked and went directly to EM. DR wanted $75 for trans flash and I guess I will ask if EM can do it cheaper instead.

Do you know anyone in town that flashes keys for less than $100?

Search online for a local locksmith. I found a guy that worked out of a van and small garage who primarily made 'house calls'. Had great reviews and had programming ability for a wide range of vehicles. Just called a few places up and he was cheapest sitting right at $55 to have the fob programmed and two keys cut (as long as they were brass). $45 to program, $5 to cut per key.

It is a matter of using the original key fob placed in and out of the key fob slot and turning the vehicle to run and on positions a few times. His laptop program walked through all the steps and it took 5-10 min at most.
