Need help on choice of car!

Hey guys

I have a friend with approx. 20k that he would like to spend on a car. He has found this G37x coupe that is a 2010 with 100k miles on it and was wondering if that is a good buy or something with fewer miles for that price?

Must be coupe, preferably MT, sport/luxury

Thanks in advance

Wow that's a lot of miles for a 2010!! We bought our 2008 with only 29,000 miles...it was a lease return. I am sure you could do better than that.

WOW, 2010 with 100K
I know these are good reliable cars but thats a little too many miles if I was looking for a car and spending that much money.

With just a little more $$ your buddy can probably get a '09 with less than half that many miles.

Are you wanting someone to look around for you? And as someone said before, why is he looking at the "x" is he's wanting a manual?

I've got a friend who just bought an 08 Sport with 70K for about $19k. One owner and all service done at the dealership. I got my 08 Sport for $19.5 with about 48K on it.

I showed him what you guys have said and he agrees that the G37x has too many miles and are asking way too much for it! Found a few cars within what he wanted and are going on Monday to look at a few used Nissan 370Z 6MT

20 large on a car with 100k is far too much. Talk to an Infiniti dealer, look in Edmunds.com, Cars.com, etc. A nice coupe with MT will not be AWD. A car with 100k on it would most likely need a timing belt and other parts. Look for a car that is CPO if at all possible.

Do not spend every dime on buying the car and have nothing left for repairs/replacements (brakes and 4 tires would be between 1,200 and 1,500), never mind mods...

Sold my 08 with 50k on the odo for 18.5
Although it had 2 accidents, I got good money for it.
$20,000 for a g with 100k on it is to much.
The person probably skipped on maintainence.
What ever you buy, get a mechanic to check it out.
You will save alot of headache & $.
