Nissan black obsidian is nothing special it is just standard black.

Here is what you need and how you can fix it..

You need to find some single stage black paint. That is paint that has color with the clear mixed in it..

Then you need to get a fine brush, carfully brush the paint into the deep scratches to fill it in. Need to let it dry a bit, then add another coat in succession. You need to keep doing this until you have built up the scratch with paint so the paint has slightly overfilled the scratch and sticks out a little past the factory paint. THEN you blocksand what you have done after it has completely dried, with 1000, 1500 and 2000 grit wetsand paper, and buff it. If you take your time, and make sure you use a single stage paint, you can make a seamless repair!!!

This can only be done with black! Any other colors you will see the repair. Only with black can you really get away with this

If you want more info pm me and I will help however I can
i persoanlyl wouldnt start as rough as 1000 grit. i would do maybe 1500 if not start at 2000 grit. you need support on the sand paper (do not sand with your fingers, get a sponge) follow with a 2500 if not 3000 to finish it, then it should completely buff out using the right stuff and correct pad.

good luck and hope you were able to get some valuable info.

1500 is just going to round out the paint you used to fill the scratch and not melt it even. Ever ran clearcoat and cut it out successfully with fine grit sandpaper? You need to start little coarser to flatten it evenly. 1500 2000 and 3000 refine the initial sandscratches to make it easy to polish. I will take pics and post here tonight

You only want to attempt this if your car is black. Any other color will not work, and here is why. When you apply black on with a touchup brush the color wil be the same if sprayed. Silver for instance when applied with a touchup brush is very dark compared to when it is sprayed. The atomization of the paint makes the silver metallic lay out properly..

Sooo only do this with black!
