No Wash At Dealership

Got the coupe in for a few warranty items this morning, and told them not to wash it. They've now got small plastic triangular "DO NOT WASH" signs they place on top of the car. Kudos to my dealer for taking this seriously!

They have an "oil change only" sign they stuck on mine. It'd be nicer to see a dealership that realized their detailing process was so bad that people felt the need to deny a free wash. Just using a clean sponge and towel wouldn't be that hard.

what do your dealerships do for their cleaning process? I love it when my dealership cleans my car! it comes out so clean after and there arent any scratches or anything... they do a hand wash and they wax it after

When I lived in Kansas City, Major Infiniti did a decent wash job but the car was silver. My current car is black and my Chicago area dealer seems to pride themselves in the number of swirl marks they can produce in one washing.

I agree I also have a Blk Coupe I tell them locally not to wash it...now where I bought the car they have a small Drive into wash and it slaps the Crap out if the car and I tell them hand wash only ...funny thing is on that the guys didn't read the instructions the Service rep put in and Ooops my car got Stuck in the drive in Rails...Glad my car is lowered! No damage but was funny to see them run out there to get my car out of the wash...

I never let dealer wash my car after they gave me a curb rash..... didnt noticed until it was to late and never bothered going back. and my side is too lowered for me to take it to dealer even for the free oil change.

When I bought my M earlier this year, I told the salesman no wash, he looked at me like I had 2 heads. He said "I'm not selling you a dirty car", I responded, "Then you are not selling me a car period" ..... he changed his mind.

I always had that issue with my dealership, they scratch my car so bad whenever they do their free car wash... I just had my car in last week, and completely forgot to ask them not to wash it...big mistake. My car now looks as if I had let my 5 year-old daughter wash it with steel wool and sandpaper...

Good thing it was almost time to buff it again

Had mine washed at the dealer today with no problems. Also got a oil/lube/filter for $15, brought my own oil and filter.
