So for the past two to three months, there's been a creaking noise coming from the sunglass compartment area. Sounds very similar to the dashboard creaking noise I had a few years ago that I got fixed by the dealer while my car was still under warranty. Just wondering if anyone else has had noises come from the same area. I'm thinking the fix would be the same as it was for the dash (reapply adhesive), but I'm afraid how much it'd cost to get fixed. It's something I can live with (unless it gets worse), but I just want to know if others have experienced the same thing.

 

Silly question but is there anything in the sun glass holder? I had a noise that drove me crazy for 6 months, turned out my wife put a pair of sun glasses up there and they were rattling around.

 

Haha no there's nothing in there. It's not a rattling noise, it's a creaking noise (like an old rocking chair). I'm pretty certain it's the adhesive in the area that has come loose.
